KATHERINE'S POV Xavier returned from the main tunnel about half an hour later; in his arms, he held an unconscious Murtagh. Seeing him in those conditions - unconscious, wounded, sickly thin - broke my heart, but nevertheless big tears of happiness started running down my cheeks as sobs pierced my chest. It had been two months, but finally my mate was back home with our son and me.  Finally, he was safe. "Murtagh!" I cried, trying to get up to get close to him. Maya, however, held me still, anchored to the mattress, while another contraction spread through my lower abdomen. The pain, thanks to the epidural, was much less intense than before, but it wasn't really nice anyway. "I know you're happy to see him again, dear" Maya murmured. "But he might still be dangerous."
