That girl from Nemesis’ garden. She can wither the flower...like this plant. It means she is here. She owns that voice, but where?
I walk slowly through the hallway to look if she is there.
“Go away…” she spoke again, and it feels like she is right beside me but when I turn around, I cannot see her. Damn, where is that girl and why is she here?
“Show yourself!”
“Go away, Thanatos… you don’t belong here” it is getting colder and colder here as if my breath is smoking.
“Why? Who are you?! You are not my boss to say that”
“Go away!” her voice… it is getting angrier.
“No!” then I continue to look around showing her that I am not afraid.
“I said GO AWAY!!!” SHE SHOUTED VERY LOUD AND IT FEELS LIKE MY EAR IS GOING TO BLEED!
I immediately covered my ears as I close my eyes. The breeze of the wind is getting really strong right now. I feel that she doesn’t really want me to be here but I don’t know the reasons. She can’t just scare me so I can leave. I need to know why and I need to know her name.
When her scream stopped, I slowly open my eyes. I am shocked. She is close to me and I saw her mad eyes looking straight at me. I stumbled and fall to the ground because I never expected her to be right in front of me.
“Y-you… who are you? Why do you want me to leave?” I asked her while I am trying to stand up again. She really looks familiar to me, but I can’t remember.
“You don’t belong here. Get out of this place” she started to walk towards me slowly, so I start to walk backward, away from her.
“Tell me who you are first”
“*laugh* Why would I?” it gave me creeps when she laughed. She looks like she is a psycho or something. I have a lot of questions for her, including her powers. I want to know what she is.
“Same question as mine, why would I also leave?” when I said that, the smile on her lips automatically fades away. She continues to walk closer to me.
“Leave! Leave! Leave!”
“I think I know you” when I said that, I saw her expression change. She becomes afraid as she stops walking forward. She can’t look at me in the eyes anymore. It seems that she is bothered that I know her. Why?
“Are you scared? That I will remember?” now, the table has turned. I am the one who walks towards her while she is walking backward.
“No, No, No!” she started to cover her both ears. She doesn’t want to hear anything anymore.
“Why? Why do you want me to leave? Because of what? Are you afraid of me? Are you afraid that I will remember who you are? Why? What have you done back then?” I am trying to observe and look at her face. I want to remember everything about her. It seems like I met her before. Aside from her being familiar to me, she is acting strange right now when I involved my memories about her. It seems like we had bad memories of each other. I wonder what it is.
“No, No, No!”
“Answer me--aah!” I haven’t finished what I am about to say when my head starts to hurt. It is too painful! I held my head with both of my hands as I flinch my eyes. Damn it! Wrong timing.
I never heard her speak again. I tried to open my eyes to look for her and all I can see was a blurry image. She is not here anymore. She left. Damn! My head hurts so bad, my knees are weakening again! I am getting deaf or something, there’s a flat high pitched noise that irritates me so much. I am getting worse!
The last thing I felt is the cold surface of the floor.
“Mara is mine”
I heard a whisper, but when I turned around I see no one. This is not good. I guess I am not just dealing with just a lost soul here, but a vengeance soul.
“She is not yours,” I said looking around to see if that soul is going to show up.
“Mara is mine!”
“No, I won’t let you take her”
I am thinking why she wanted her soul. And as I do that, something came up with my mind. I guess she wanted to take her to have someone to be with her in this void. She wanted Mara to be like her, lost, full of vengeance.
Although I don’t know why she’s like that…but I have a strong gut that I am right.
“She’s mine!”
“I know who you are. Bring Mara back to me, or I’ll take you instead. I will drag you to the afterlife”
“NO!!!!!!!!” She screamed so loud that it causes the ground to shake a bit. This soul is powerful. I guess she’s been here for a very long time. I want to see what she looks like but she is hiding somewhere.
“You know who I am right? I know, you are afraid of me. If you won’t bring back Mara now, I am gonna do whatever it takes to hunt you down and drag you to your end” I said with an authority. I walk slowly to the stairs as I heard some creaking sound.
It became silent again.
I walk a few steps upstairs before I see something in the corner. I can’t see it clearly because it is very dark but it looks like a figure of a girl… wearing a white dress.
“Bring her back to me...Sally”
“How did you know me”
“So it is really you, Sally” I went closer and closer to her slowly and I could say that she’s really afraid of me
“NO!!!!!!”
I heard another very loud scream before that soul vanishes. Then suddenly, out of the dark, Mara falls right into my arms.
She is unconscious.
“Light...” I said as I touched her face. She slowly moved as she opened her eyes. She seemed drained.
“Dark… what happened?”
“You’re fine now. I won’t let her come to you again. Ever”

I immediately opened my eyes as I took a very deep breath. I woke up in a small room and I saw Dianna beside me. She was surprised that I am awake already.
I know her name now. It is Sally. She really is afraid of me, because she doesn’t want to be reaped.
“Thanatos! What a relief, you are awake already. You have been out for four hours straight. My colleagues found you unconscious on the floor.”
“R-really” then I sat down on the bed.
“It happened again, isn’t it? What happened to you when we first met, it happened again, am I right?”
“Yes, but I am fine. Don’t worry”
“Are you sure? You look worse. Last time you are unconscious for just two and a half hours but now…”
She also noticed that I become worse. That feeling earlier that my ears are getting deaf or something, it is my first time. I am really having a lot of difficulties with this memory of mine. This punishment is too much!
“I am really fine, Dianna. By the way, have you seen Makaria?”
That Sally, She wanted to stay here… for Mara. Mara is already gone, so I assume she is now targeting Makaria, Mara’s reincarnation.
Because of that, I have to see her.
“Relax. Ma’am Makaria is not here, and Sir Alex told me that you may continue to take a rest even when you are awake already.”
“I need to see Makaria” I started to move out from the bed but Dianna is trying to stop me. She won’t understand.
“What? Are you crazy? No. And she is our boss, you should not casually call her like that. We talked about it earlier”
“Okay, okay, but I need to see her” I touched her arms and looked sincerely into her eyes. I know she is worried about me but I have something to do and I can’t just let this go.
“Hey, you are lucky enough that she did not fire you. Better yet, don’t dare to show up to her anymore”
“But I have to!”
“Why?”
“I just have to. Please, where is she?”
“I don't know if you can still reach her, last time I had a glimpse of her, she is already getting out of the building. Maybe she already went hom-- hey Thanatos!” I immediately ran towards the door and open it. I have to chase Makaria.
“I need to see her” then I went outside and continue running away.
“Thanatos!!!” I heard her scream but I just didn’t mind it. I need to do what I have to.
I don’t know what way I am running at but I just followed the path on this floor. I ran quickly not minding the people around looking at me.
I found the main door of this company, and I swiftly went out. It is a bit dark already outside, I am not quite sure what time it is already. I look around hoping to see Makaria.
Not too far from where I am standing, I saw her beside her red car. She is looking for her key in her bag.
I am glad she is safe. I am not that late. I let out a big sigh as a sign of relief.
But…
Just when I thought that everything is already fine,
Sally suddenly pops out behind her! Oh no, this can’t be.
“Makaria!” I quickly run to her. She immediately turns around when she heard me.
“You again? What are you doing here?” I didn’t pay attention to what she said, I just look straight at Sally. That girl immediately fades away when she saw me running in her direction.
Then…
The next thing is that…
I found myself already hugging Makaria.
