Episode 7

Eva

I've got tears in my eyes when I finally forced myself not to think about the times I spent with him. I hardened my heart, and moved on, this was that I always lied to myself. That was the answer for the question: why. But I'll never tell this story to Dave, only Max knows. And that's enough. I went to bed when I heard my phone vibrating. Dave texted me to say sorry. I didn't want to answer. 

Actually I thought that'd be better not to meet him for a long time. The next week went quiet. Now that I didn't need to go after a job it was boring. I spent a lot of time on the beach. I searched flats for rent. I didn't know when I'll be able to move, but now that I know I'll have a job and I can stay, I wanted to be on my own as soon as possible. It's not that I didn't like to be with Max, it's just I wanted to have something on my own. 

It was a bit late, when I decided to go back to the flat, I packed my stuff, when my phone was ringing. An unknown number.

- Hallo.

- Hi it's Andrej from Mad Club. Is it Eva?

- Hi, yes it's me.

- How are you darlin`?

- I'm fine thanks.

- Good. So. I applied for a working permission, and it's in progress. And you can start work like that, so I wondered if you okay to start on Friday, which is tomorrow.

- Of course Andrej. I am. It's perfect.

- I never heard anyone to be so happy because of work. 

He laughed, I laughed too.

- Okay so just have some rest because you need to stay up all night. Come in at 8pm. I'll give you a uniform, but you need to have black trousers, and comfy shoes just in case. You're going to start with me, we need to fill in some boring paperwork and then you start your training.

- That's perfect. Thank you very much Andrej.

- You are really welcome.

- See you tomorrow then.

- See you tomorrow.

I've been incredibly happy. I could hug the whole world. Actually I couldn't wait to start. I stayed up late that night, to get a bit used to nights then slept for long next day. I've been excited. Before I left Max wished me good luck. 

It took me about 15 minutes to get there by walking. At the entrance two huge guards asked me what I wanted. They wasn't really friendly

- This is my first day. I guess Andrej is waiting for me.

- Yes, come with me.

One of them said, in a hard tone. He led me up in the office where we were the first time. We went in after knocking, and Andrej's wide smile put me at ease. He motioned to the huge one that he can leave. 

- Good evening Eva. Excited?

- Yes.

I said with a smile. 

- Don't have to. Everything will be alright. Come with me.

He took his laptop and took me to the restroom, where my interview was. This time he sat next to me and opened the laptop up. 

- So now we need to go through some training. Health and safety, fire safety so lots of boring sh*t.

I laughed. 

- Come on Eva, it's not funny you need to take it seriously.

But he said that in a funny way with making faces which made me laugh harder. He laughed as well. We went through the training in two hours. It was really fun. Then he's got his phone and rung someone to come up. About 5 minutes later a guy in about his thirties appeared in the room. He was slim, tall, and got ginger hair and blue eyes. 

- Josh, let me introduce you to this young lady. Her name is Eva, and she's going to work with you guys.I want you to take care of her. Eva, this is Josh. He is our supervisor, the place would stop without him. He will show you everything.

I looked up at Josh with a smile. He looked kind, but wasn't a topmodell.  

- Hi Josh, nice to meet you.

- Nice to meet you too Eva. Come with me then.

Andrej smiled at me and motioned to go.

- Have fun. 

He said.

I smiled back. Then followed Josh. 

- Did you get your uniform?

- Oh yes. Where can I change? 

- The end of this corridor, to the right, there are the lady's you can change in there. Sorry we have a restroom but man's are allowed to go in there.

- Oh okay. That's fine.

- I'll wait for you. 

The uniform was a short black skirt and a black tank top. Didn't really cover much, but I didn't mind.

When we went down, I was surprised. There weren't too many people, but the place was nice and modern. 

- Eva, this is the VIP level, Andrej asked me to work with you here first as it's not too busy.

- How many levels are here?

- Three. The first one is the real nightmare. 

- Okay.

He slowly explained everything about everything really. He's been very patient. In the bar two other assistants worked. A boy and a girl. The girl called Molly the boy called Tom. They both greeted me friendly and tried to help in everything. I could start to serve as well as they all agreed that they can see, I've got experience, and I can do it without problem. 

Only one thing disturbed me. Half of the night I've got someone's eyes on me. It was a woman. I could tell that, she's been rich. She looked nice, but looked like a wh*re. She's got long black hair in a pony tale and brown eyes. I instantly could decide I don't like her. 

My first night went easy. I liked the place, but I knew as Josh said, this is the easy part. When we finished we needed to clean up. A familiar voice made me jump from behind. 

- How was your night? 

That was Andrej. I smiled at him.

- It was okay.

- I'm happy to hear that because guess what?

- What?

- The others said you did great.

- Oh, that's good.

- Yeah, just keep it up. Rest well today. 

- I will. Thank you Andrej.

- My pleasure darling.

And then he turned around. I could see that two hot chicks were waiting for him. He folded his arms around them, and disappeared. I smiled. It wasn't too hard for him. He was quite handsome. Normal high, black hair, brown eyes and muscular body. Probably he spend a lot of time in the gym, and also probably he is rich. But I liked his attitude. He's been kind and funny. After this night I wasn't tired physically. I just wanted to sleep, but I went home with a smile on my face.
