MAX’S POV
The last thing I had been expecting after Lilly threw herself in my office the other day was her little boyfriend calling me. James called me a few days after Lilly had come to see me and I figured it was because he hadn’t accomplished what he was hoping he would by making Lilly come to beg me to leave him alone.
He had called me and asked if we could meet, and he had mentioned that he wanted us to talk about Lilly and some business. He probably wanted to try to convince me to give him back his factory, and the thought of him begging me to do that made me laugh a little bit. Was he already giving up just as the fun was beginning?
“Are you ready to go?” Luca asked me as he walked into my room, and I got up from the bed and nodded.
“do you think we should get back up?” he asked
