Emily was in the office kitchen already when John and Molly got to work. She arrived early on purpose, knowing the couple would get there before everyone else. She was setting up some coffee and tried to look nonchalant as they walked through the door.
"Good morning!" She said in an overly chipper voice.
"Oh!" Molly put her hand over her heart and jumped a little out of surprise. "Good morning, you're here early!"
John said nothing and continued walking while holding Molly's hand, making her get dragged along with him.
"I had a really good weekend so I thought I'd start the day bright and early." Emily crinkled her nose while following them. "Did you two have a good weekend as well? Must've been a bummer to see your ex?"
