*Georgina's P.O.V.*
---
"Gina, breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom yelled as she knocks on my door.
And, I took off my glasses and rubbed my temple. Ugh, f**k this hungover!
I think we got home at nine last night. How much did I drink?
"I'm coming, Mom!" I replied and closed the history textbook that I have been reading for the last hour.
I stood up from my chair and was about to head to the door when my gaze went outside my window.
There's a girl with a dog that sat on the bench at the side of the road and in front of Mr. Patterson's house.
I wore my glasses back on to see the person clearly, and to my surprise, it's the redhead.
What the heck is she doing here?
Well, obviously, she's taking her dog for a walk. Damn, that doggie is huge. I wonder if what breed it is.
We actually live in the same subdivision but their house, no, their mansion is like a ten-minute walk from here since it's at the very end of the area. They are just one of the richest families around here and that's why she acts like a superior at the academy.
I peeked by the window to look at her closely. And, she seemed like she's talking to her phone.
Shit, I almost forgot that she stalked us last night. What a damn b***h? I don't know if what are her intentions, but I bet she will surely make things that would make me look bad.
Damn it, I just dunno what to do if she would really report us to the guidance counselor on Monday.
She stood up and I just noticed that she is wearing a crop top inside a button-up jacket that shows her flat stomach. Does she have abs? Oh s**t, what am I even thinking?
I guess she didn't see me and she just kept smiling at the one on the other line. That must be her ex or her boyfriend. Hmm, what kind of a person comes back to their exes? She's such a loser.
She snapped her head in my direction, and I immediately turned my gaze away from her. s**t, did she saw me staring at her? Damn it!
Then, I acted like I'm arranging some stuff on my study table just to look busy. Why am I panicking? Geez, she's just a nobody.
I tried to lift my head to see if she's still there, and to my surprise, she is still looking in my direction.
I must be hallucinating, but did I just saw her waved and smiled at me? That's weird.
I just shrugged it off and didn't bother to look at her again. I'll just go and have some breakfast.
---
"Did Dad leave already, Mom?" I asked my mother who is busy placing some scrambled eggs on my plate.
"Yep, he said he'll be home late because it's their CEO's birthday." She replied and I took my seat.
My dad works as a marketing manager at a small company in the city while my mom takes care of the house and whatnot.
---
"Hon, can you help me later in moving the couches in the living room? I'm gonna put it in a different arrangement." She asked as she stood up and washed the dishes that she just used.
"Yeah, sure, Mom," I answered and took a sip of my coffee.
After eating breakfast, I washed the things that I used.
"What time is it, Honey?" Mom yelled while she's cleaning the bathroom.
And I looked at the clock by the living room and answered her, "Fifteen minutes before eight."
"Okay. Can you please take the garbage bags on our doorstep by the roadside? The garbage truck will be here soon. Thanks, Hon!" She yelled and I obeyed. It's just that every Saturday is our general cleaning day and I have to help my mother.
Then, I went out to pick up the two black bags and went straight to where the garbage collectors will get them.
And, I almost jumped out of surprise when I saw my nemesis is still sitting on the bench on the other side of the road.
What is she still doing here? She is stalking me, isn't she?
She stood up and I did my best to act normally like I didn't notice that she is approaching me.
Oh gosh, what should I do?
I placed the trash bags quickly and was about to head back into the house when she called my attention. Just go away, just go away, Natalie.
"Hi, you reside here?" She greeted and asked me with a smile.
Now, I can see her attire clearly. She really has abs and she's wearing jogging pants. Gosh, why am I thinking about her abs? No, she is here for something. I just can't point it out.
What are you up to, Natalie Porter? Is she here to tell me about last night or she is going to ask me a favor or blackmail me? s**t! There are so many things that she can possibly do to me right now.
"Yep," I answered shortly just to give her a hint that I am not interested in talking to her.
"Mhmm. Nice glasses." She complimented and I just noticed that I am wearing my damn glasses.
Oh, s**t! Now, she saw me looking like this. Can this day be more perfect? What should I say next?
"Umm... Uh. Yeah. Nice bo-dog. You have a nice dog. Is that a bulldog?" I stammered, and what the f**k is happening to me?
I know she has a nice body, but I don't need to tell her that. f**k it! Can she just go away?
"Oh, ah... No, it's actually a Doberman." She replied and I think my face flushed out of embarrassment.
"Wow, cool!" I replied awkwardly.
I should say something sharp or nasty, but I'm afraid that she might bring out the club thingy.
"Yeah. His name is Titanic." She uttered and maybe it's just my imagination that she is fidgeting. Is she nervous?
"Oh, that fits his name. I mean, his name fits his size." I stated and I just made myself sound more stupid.
"Yep, he's huge. I am not actually a fan of Leo or Kate, but I am a fan of the... Uh... the boat, I mean the ship. The ship, yeah. You know what I mean, right?" She spoke and I just nodded my head in agreement.
"Yeah, that movie's so cool. So, umm... I need to... Uh, get back in. I still got a lot of house chores to do. Helping my mom. It's Saturday." I told her because I really need to escape from this very awkward atmosphere.
"Yeah, me too. I mean, I need to go home. Just passing by. So, uh... Bye, and have a nice day." She let out nervously and started walking away.
My eyebrows met in confusion about what had just happened. What the heck did she just say?
"f**k it! Ugh! Why can't I just talk like a normal person? And don't dare laugh at me, Tanic." I heard her curse and mumbled as she sauntered away, or is it just my imagination? No, probably not. What does she suppose to say?
I just shrugged it off and went back inside the house.
Ooh, maybe she wants to tell me about last night. Damn it! I really hope that she won't tell the guidance counselor about it.
As I stepped on our front porch, I felt my phone vibrated in my short shorts' pocket. f**k, what am I wearing? Gosh, that b***h has seen too much that I should not be.
I looked at the one who is calling and it's Rue.
"Hey, what's up?" I answered the call and I can hear a lot of noises on the other line.
"Hi, Gina! How are you?" She greeted me as I opened the door.
"I am doing fine. How about you?" I replied and asked her back.
"Great! We are heading to your place because we are having the group study that we have talked about last night. Should we bring some junk foods?" She replied, and damn, it slipped my mind.
"Oh yeah, right. Umm... Where are you, Girls, now?" I uttered frantically since I have not even showered yet, and my contacts. Argh, f**k it!
"We're still at Bethany's. It's taking her forever to get dressed. We'll pass by the store to buy some snacks before we get there. Is she still in the shower, Ken?" Rue explained and yelled at Kendra.
"Yep, we still have to wait until noon here." I heard my other friend said and Rue just groaned.
"So, yeah! We're gonna be there by eight-thirty, I guess. I swear, Bethany Jane Hudgens, we are gonna leave you behind!" She added and yelled on the other line.
"Hah, you're just lucky, b***h, because you did not have an extreme hungover. And I guess you didn't even take a freaking shower." I heard Beth countered and I just chuckled. These girls and their little fights.
"Okay, I'll wait for you here. Bye, Rue." I told her and hung up.
Now, I need to take a quick shower and fix myself.
"Mom, the girls will come over. We are gonna have a group study since the exam is this coming Thursday and Friday." I told my mother as she is dusting off some furniture in the living room.
"Okay. Now, I need to buy something to cook for lunch. Help me with this one, Hon. Just really quick." She stated and pointed to the couch on my left.
After helping my mom in moving the things in the living room, I took a bath and my mind went back to the redhead.
I don't believe that she just passed by. She's been there even before I ate my breakfast. What if she would really want to tell me about the things she saw last night?
---
I put on my lenses, and now, I'm ready to face my friends. Why can't I just be truthful to them about my sight? No, they would definitely think that I'm a loser, a freak.
Damn, I just remembered when I asked them about what they think of people who are wearing eyeglasses. They said that it could ruin the face and beauty of the person and that they also look like trying hard to be smart or want to look smart. So, yeah, I'm gonna keep it for now.
I heard a car honked outside our house and I think it's them.
---
"Hey, Gin! Good morning to you! I just hope that you are having a good morning." Beth greeted me cheerfully and leaned in to kiss my cheek.
"Yep, I am. Hello, all of you!" I said as Ken embraced me.
"Are you okay?" She asked me and I just smiled and nodded.
"Where is your mom, Gin?" Rue asked as she went inside.
"Uh, she said she'd buy something to cook for lunch," I answered and their faces lit up.
"Yesss!" They rejoiced since they really like my mom's dishes. She is the best cook for me, while I, on the other hand, didn't get any of her cooking skills.
"So, yeah. What subject should we tackle first?" I asked them as we went to my room.
"All of it," Beth answered and I looked back at her while having an unimpressed look on my face.
"First?" I let out and she made an 'o' face.
"Oh, sorry. Umm... Whatever is available or whatever you want." She replied and the two seemed thinking.
"Math," Ken uttered and I think math is good, since, for them, it's the hardest.
I just like having group studies with them because it can help me recall our lessons and at the same time, I can help my friends. And, they really need a lot of help when it comes to Math and Science.
"Okay. Math it is." I agreed and went to my study table to get my Math textbook.
"Ah! I miss this room!" Rue exclaimed and laid on my bed.
"Get off, Bethch! I got here first." Rue protested as she pushed Bethany away.
"The bed is so f*****g wide, Rue. It could fit three people in it. Don't be f*****g selfish. Move your fat ass along." They continued bickering and I just sighed in frustration.
"On the floor, now!" I let out and they both get up from my bed.
I can still hear indistinct noises from the two and Ken sat in between them. That's better.
"Where are your books?" I asked them and Rue reached for her backpack on the bed.
"So, before we proceed to our little session, Gin. Can I ask if you have any plan on what to do about Nat Porter?" Beth stated and I turned my gaze to her.
"Yeah. What is the plan?" Rue joined in, and should we really talk about it?
"Well, umm. We still don't know if what are her intentions about it, but---" I stated but Beth cut me off.
"We should kidnap her." She said, then Rue added, "Yeah, and blackmail her. Or we could ask for some ransom. Maybe a hundred thousand dollars? Oh, we should put---"
"Can you stop it, Girls?" Ken cut off the blabbering Ruby. What the heck is in the minds of these people?
"Uh, let's just talk about it some other time," I told them, and I think I don't need to tell them about my encounter with the ginger earlier.
I'm just hoping that she'll stay quiet about the club thingy.
