Chapter 7 - Task Failed Successfully

*Natalie's P.O.V.* --- I unleashed my dog, and then, I calmly put his collar on the rack behind the door. Relax, Nat, just breathe in and try not to break anything in your sight. Fuck! What the hell did I had just put myself into? Argh! I went to my room upstairs and I'm just gonna take a damn cold shower to ease this tension that I feel in my body. I'm such a moron and a chicken. What the f**k! I just can't talk straight when she's in front of me, especially with her flawless thighs and legs are displayed. And damn, did I mention already that she looks so f*****g cute with her glasses on up close? Like, I could stare at her all day and all night. She is just getting hotter and hotter as the days are passing by. I opened the door to my room and I was greeted with four pairs of eyes. "What the f**k are you all doing here in my room in a damn so f*****g early on a Saturday morning?" I asked them in disbelief and they just stared at me amusingly. I really want to poke their eyes right now. "Uh... Well, it's Heather's birthday and we have to plan something for her?" Kelsey answered, more of like asking, as she gets up from my bed, then, head to my study table where the dork Derek is eating some chips. "Oh, yeah, right. So,---" I began as I remembered but Jayden cut me off. "So... we heard you went out to a suicide mission, Nat. What happened?" She asked cheerfully, and I glared at her sister who is lying comfortably on my bed. "I did not say anything to her about it, Nat." Jolene disputed and scooted closer to her sister so that I could sit. "I did." I turned my gaze to the gay and he just gave me a cheeky smile. "And, what the heck did you say, since the last time I checked, I, myself did not tell you anything about doing something?" I retorted and he just shrugged. "But you did say that you'll finally make your first move on her. Was it not today?" Jo stated, and I tried to remember if did I really told them that. "What? N...no. I mean, I will, but not today." I replied and they just gave me that knowing faces. "Really?" Kelsey asked to confirm while munching some chips. "Yeah." I let out and grabbed the stuffed animal that Jolene is hugging. "Then, why did Ash told me that you went out so early to take Titanic for a walk? And... what time is it already that she got home, Der?" Kelsey asked suspiciously and I turned my head to the only guy in this room. "Eight-twenty-one." He answered and I just shook my head in frustration. Why are they roasting me instead of planning something for our friend's birthday? "I just went to eat some breakfast at the diner near the park," I uttered with a little lie and I know that they know if I am lying or not. "Oh, sure! Good alibi. The truth, Natalie?" Jo said, and why is she using her lie-detecting skill on me always when it comes to the girl I have a crush on since forever? Or I am just a bad liar? I sighed deeply and the girls beside me sat up straight to look at me. Should I tell them? Maybe. But they will absolutely laugh at me. "Come on, Nat. We are always here to support you." Jayden encouraged me to talk while the rest of them are listening intently. I just buried my face in the stuffed tiger that I am holding. Argh! I don't want to think about it again. That was just a foolish move. "Yeah, we'll be right here, Nat. To laugh our asses out." Derek uttered and Kelsey slapped his arm. "Well, I... Umm, I just... Uh, where should I start? Umm..." I started but my very good friends are really good at supporting me. "Talk a little straighter, Nat." Jayden butted in and her sister nudged her. "You absolutely know that she can't, Jayd. And she will not talk straight for you." Jo spoke and did a hand sign with Kelsey who is also a flaming homosexual. And... speaking about homos, here showed up my lovely little sister in her super gay outfit of the day. "Hey, Babe! I'll be out to buy some IC. What flavor do you like?" Natasha asked Kelsey, and all of the other people here have confused looks on their faces. Including me. "What the f**k is IC, Ash? Is that some kind of gay code, or what?" The clueless straight Jayd asked and even me, I don't know what is IC. "Oh, no. It's not a gay code. It's actually just Ice Cream." My sister answered and all of us let out, "Ah." "Ice cream? I want some too!" Derek yelled and the Willis siblings looked at my sister with hopeful eyes. "Okay, should I buy the big one or solo packs? What flavor?" She asked and looked at me while asking for confirmation. "Big one, Bronze. And, what flavor do you like, Guys?" I told her and asked my pals. I'm the only one who calls her Bronze because of her hair, while she calls me Copper as her revenge. We are just being sisters. "Double Dutch for me. Choco. Strawberry. Rocky Road." They said and my sister looked at me with a baffled face. "Solo packs. Vanilla." I stated and she nodded her head slowly. "Solo packs it is. Mango for me." She confirmed and turned to leave my room, but her girlfriend called her out. "And, Babe. Marshmallows." Kelsey stated and Ash faced her with a wide smile. "Yeah, of course. What else?" She replied and asked. "Kiss?" Kelsey said in an almost inaudible voice. Will these two stop simping for each other in my f*****g room? Ash went to her and there it is. What a f*****g show! "Can you, Gays, just make out in your room, Natasha?" I let out with a hint of irritation in my voice. I looked at my other friends and they all have their dreamy faces. "Oh, my dear sister, Copper. That is not how you make out. This is making out." She countered and my eyes widened in shock when they just... Ugh, I swear, this kid! "Woohoo!" My friends cheered and I guess my face is so damn red by now. I gripped the thing in my hand and I can't hold it anymore. I threw the stuffed tiger to them. "Just f*****g go, Bronze! The ice creams will melt!" I yelled to her and they all just laughed their asses out. "Just ask her out already for you not to be so bitter." She replied and I just scoffed. "I am not bitter. You are just freaking displaying so much affection in my f*****g room and in front of us here. Just leave already." I spat at her and she just laughed more. I'm just gonna get rid of her later. "Whatever, loser." She said while still giggling and finally left my room. I turned to my pals and glared at them. Thankfully, they stopped laughing. "What a show..." Jo let out and composed herself. "Sorry, Guys." Kelsey apologized while looking so uneasy. I'm actually glad about my sister and Kelsey's relationship. They have been together for six months already. Ash is two years younger than me, and I'm gonna turn nineteen this coming next Saturday. And I need to have a huge birthday party since it will be my last year at Pryce Winsley Academy. "Okay, so, where are we again?" Jayden asked and they turned back their attention to me. Can they just forget about it? Don't they know that I am freaking uncomfortable with this topic? "Oh, yeah, so... how did it go, Nat?" Derek asked and I just stood up to pick up the stuffed animal on the floor. "I failed successfully," I said proudly and they motioned me to talk more. Fuck this! --- I told them what had happened, and I regret it to the point that I just hid under my blankets. They won't stop laughing. "f**k the shut up, Derek! Oh my gosh! I'm not gonna... Pfft. Hoo! Just, damn..." Somebody let out in between laughter and I just stayed under the covers. What good friends I have, right? "Okay, I'm good now. f**k it, Jo. Stop laughing." I heard Jayd and she continued laughing. "I just can't get over the Leo and Kate thing. Why do you gotta be so obvious, Natalia? You could have just said that you like the ship." Derek let out and still chuckling. "It's not obvious, Dork. I just told her the truth. She can not possibly think of it." I uttered, and I think it's safe to come out now since everyone seems like they have composed themselves. "Yeah, because she is definitely straight." He uttered and I peeked out of the blanket, then, sent him death glares. "Haha, thanks for the encouragement," I told him sarcastically and he just shrugged. I am supposed to ask her if she has any spare time, well, that would sound as if I am asking her out, but I was too afraid that she will decline, which she will probably do. Ugh, I'm just so pathetic. I should have just told her about the theme of the essay contest on Monday so that she can prepare. Yeah, and in that sense, we could have had a long conversation. Damn, why am I so f*****g dumb? "But seriously, Nat. That's a good start. You just have to be braver next time, and take my advice for once. Talk a little bit straighter so that you would not scare her away. Keep the confidence and be cool. Or just be yourself when she is around." Jayden stated and that helped me to feel better. "Yeah, and the next time, Nat, just don't stare at her skin too much. Keep your head up and don't look down her chest. If you want to engage her in a conversation, just look at her eyes and not on her lips. You got it?" Jolene explained like a real dating expert and I just nodded my head. But there is one thing I need to know. "How many people have you dated already, Jo?" I asked her curiously and she stared at the ceiling. Then, my other idiotic friends also looked up while trying to find something. What kind of people did I just associate myself with? "Oh, seven boys, and... twelve girls, no, thirteen." She said proudly and our mouths literally dropped on the floor. "Woah! Is that the number already, Sis?" Jayden asked and her sister just moved her eyebrows up and down. What the heck? "Damn, I lost track." She said and the rest of us is just speechless. I know that Jo could be a walking heartbreaker but I did not expect it to be that fast. She has dated twenty people already while I still have zero since birth? Damn, this girl is surely so f*****g bored of her life. "Well, that's quite a lot of fun, isn't it?" Kelsey uttered and Jo just chuckled. "Okay, so, what would be your next agenda, Nat?" Jayd asked me and I sat up and leaned on the headrest of my bed. "Next agenda? Heather's birthday surprise." I spoke and I will not tell them my plans yet since I don't have one. "Oh, yeah, right. So, uh, what do we do?" Jo said and asked. "We'll crash her condo unit, and we'll bring some cakes, food, liquors, and party poppers," Derek suggested and that sounds like a good plan. "What if she's spending it with her fam or her boyfriend?" Kelsey asked and she got a point. "To be sure of it... why don't we call her," Jayd let out and dialed Heather's number. "What the f**k, Jayd? How would it be a freaking surprise if you'd call---" Jo argued but was cut off by her sister's hand on her mouth. "Hey, Heat, how are you? What's up?" She greeted the girl on the other line and we all just crossed our fingers to what she would tell the blonde cheerleader. "I'm good. Nothing much, I'm just chilling up here at the pool on the RT." Heather answered and that's great that she is just at the condo. "Oh, so, uh... Where you at right now?" She asked and I saw Kelsey is signaling me to cut her off. She just said that she is in a pool. "Pool on the f*****g rooftop, Jayd. Have you been not listening? Are you high?" The other line said and I turned my gaze to Derek who has been holding his laughter. "Okay, cool. Bye!" She said and we snapped our heads to her. That's what she just said to the girl? "You are so f*****g obvious, Jayden," Kelsey said while crossing her arms on her chest. "What is so obvious about that? I did not mention anything about the birthday surprise." She let out and we all had wide eyes when we heard someone on the other line. "You are gonna have a birthday surprise for me, Bitches?" Heather yelled on the other line and we turned our heads to the frantic Jayd. "f**k, I haven't hung up? But I did." She mumbled and we all just face-palmed. "Ahaha, you girls are so f*****g busted! Where you at right now, Motherfuckers?" Heather rejoiced on the phone and I spoke for the group. "Yeah, happy birthday, Heathe! We are supposed to give you a surprise but was unintentionally spoiled. We are here in my domain." I told her and she went silent for a moment. "Oh my gosh! Why am I tearing up? Thank you so much, Girls and Gays! I am so touched deeply. It's fine, Nat. Would you all just come over to my unit later and I will act that I didn't know about the surprise?" She let out and we chuckled. "Yeah, why not? Just expect us to come in no specific time, Heathe, so that it would still be a surprise." I told her and everyone agreed by nodding their heads vigorously. "Yeah, that sounds great, Nat." She uttered and I told her goodbye, and finally, hung up. "There. It's fixed." I said to them and Jayd just smiled with guilt. "Okay, since the birthday surprise is fixed, why not we'll talk about your plan for Georgina Vandross, Nat?" Kelsey let out and I thought I could escape from this topic, but no. Maybe I should ask for their opinions about everything and something about the play. That sounds like a good plan.
