Just like what Seb and Leo agreed upon, he met him and the rest of the Elites after he gave his statement to the police regarding the attempted carjacking that happened the night before. He met them in the hotel suite they are staying at. There, aside from Leo, he saw Zack, Daisy, Mikey, and Karen. They all bowed their heads when they saw Seb. “Hi, guys,” he greeted them. “You’re just in time for the briefing for the new lead,” Leo said, leading Seb into the suite’s living room. They all took a seat, and as Zack started the briefing, Seb sat there and listened carefully. The rogue serial killer they are after killed around twelve women, human women whom he mauled to death. The killing spread across several states, and it has alerted not just local authorities but also the bureau. Now the council has sent them to track and kill the rogue serial killer before it attacks again, and their kind gets exposed to the humans. “Right now, our lead is the missing eighteen-year-old girl from a local high school. She was last seen three days ago. Just like the other victims who were kidnapped and, after three days, found dead.” Zack said. “We obtained several clips from CCTVs all over the city where her face was caught by the cameras. Aside from that, we managed to snatch an item of clothing from her home. We got her scent, we’ll just follow it,” Daisy said. “Have you tracked the scent?” Seb asked, and Karen nodded. “Mikey and I were able to locate a cabin up the mountain, just the other side of the hiking trail,” Karen said. “And I already cast a spell, a line around the cabin that will alert us when someone steps in or out of there,” Mikey said, and Seb nodded in understanding. “Alright. We should head there now. Before the rogue kills her or before the authorities get to him and they end up dead,” Seb spoke, and the Elites nodded. “We only asked you to be our healer, but you are welcome to step in.” Leo said, and Seb smirked. “Let’s see,” They all got up from the couch and started getting ready for the mission. The elites started changing into their combat uniforms. When Mikey hands Seb a spare one, he declines. “I’ll just settle for a jacket,” Seb said, patting his chest. He was wearing an all-black get-up. Black straight cut cargo pants, black shirt under a black leather jacket, and black combat boots. They just hand him a set of communication device. Seb puts it on as Leo hands him a handgun and a spare magazine. Seb removed the magazine and checked on the bullets. He smirked when he saw that it had silver in it. He then put the magazine back before he tucked the gun into his waistband and the spare magazine into his jacket’s inner pocket. “We should go now,” Zack said. “I will be casting a spell that will take us right into the trail,” Mikey said. They all stood around Mikey, and then she started chanting the spell. Soon, a magic circle appeared and glowed on the floor beneath their feet. The glowing intensified until they were transported out of the hotel suite towards the hiking trail. In just seconds, Seb found themselves on the hiking trail, and the Elites were getting their weapons ready. They carefully tread the trail, and soon, they could see something ahead of them. “Alright, team. We will be approaching the vicinity carefully.” Zack spoke as they carefully approached the cabin. Leo, who was in the front line, noticed something and stopped walking. He narrowed his eyes in the direction of the cabin, and then he signaled everyone to halt their steps. “What is it?” Zack asked through their communication device. “I cannot hear any breathing or movements inside the cabin,” Leo replied. “Are you saying the victim is dead? Are we too late?” Daisy asked. “No. I don’t smell blood, but it's like there is no one inside,” Leo answered. “He’s right. I cannot pick up any heat signature inside the cabin.” Mikey said as she looked into the infrared scanner in her hands. Zack walked over to Mikey and looked at the screen of the scanner. Indeed, the gadget is not picking up any heat signature from a living individual inside the cabin. “I need eyes inside,” Zack said, and then Daisy pulled out a mini drone from her bag and turned it on, connecting it to her tablet. As the drone took flight, everyone walked over to Daisy’s side and watched as the drone showed them the cabin in close proximity. “Show us the inside,” Zack said, and then Daisy maneuvered the drone towards the broken window. The small drone was able to slip into the broken window, and they now have footage of the cabin’s interior. It's pretty empty except for the few things that were scattered there. “Did we get the wrong intel?” Leo asked. Seb looked into the footage and noticed some things. “They were definitely there,” Seb spoke, and everyone looked at him. “How can you say that?” Zack asked. “Look.” Seb started, pointing at the screen. “All the things scattered around the cabin looked neat and fresh, not the kind that had been there for months or years. There is no dust accumulated in the cabin, and the real clue is the stove. It's still turned on and it's cooking,” Seb explained, pointing out everything. Zack and the other saw it. “So, they were definitely here. But where are they now?” Daisy asked. “Do you think they got a whiff of our operation and they left already?” Karen asked as well. “That is a possibility, but at the same time, there is a possibility that we are looking at this the wrong way.” Seb said, and everyone looked at him again. They looked at him, wondering what he meant. “I don’t understand,” Leo said. Seb looked at him and smiled. “I can smell something,” he said, and the Elites looked confused. Zack was looking at him intently, and then a thought came to him. “Lycans have better senses than we normal shifters.” He mumbled, and then he looked at Seb, who was sniffing the air and looking around as if searching for something. “You got something?” he said. Then Seb stopped and turned around, looked at Zack intently, and smirked. “I did. They are not in there, not because they left,” Seb paused, and then he suddenly used his index finger to point downwards. “They are underground,”
