(Rain's Pov)
"Johnny. . ." was the last thing I said before he started running up the road. Max shook his head and put his arm around me.
"What a jerk," Max said. I looked at him and sighed.
"He's not a jerk. I don't know what that was about," I said. Max scoffed and smiled.
"Whatever you say," he said.
I stared at him and said, "Why are you acting so happy?"
"What? I'm happy you didn't believe him. I don't want to loose you." I smiled and leaned up and kissed him.
"Good, now I gotta go help my parents with dinner. See ya," I said and walked inside.
(Andy's pov)
I stared at Max as he lied right through his teeth. I could tell he was lying because Johnny doesn't lie and if he does lie then his nose twitches, so that means Max is cheating on Rain. I glared at him as he smirked at Joe and I.
"What the hell?!" I said.
Max laughed and said, "Funny, that's what Johnny said."
"Why the hell would you do this to him?!" I asked.
"Andy, I know you're friends with Johnny and all but it's best if you just stay out of this," Max said. I glared at him and clenched my fists.
"You bastard! You lying bastard!" Joe said.
Max chucked and said, "Oh, the attention seeking shy girl talks."
"Shut up! Don't talk to her that way!" I said. He shrugged and started to walk away. "You'll be caught eventually!" He just laughed evilly and kept on walking. I turned to Joe and put my hand on her shoulder.
"Don't listen to him," I said.
"I won't. Let's go find Johnny," she said. I nodded and we took off running up the road where Johnny went. After ten minutes of us running we stopped to catch our breath.
"Johnny!" I yelled.
"He's not going to answer you," Joe said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"He wants to be left alone." I was about to agree when I heard a yell.
"Johnny?!" I said in panic. I looked at Joe and we started running to where the yell came from. I saw a car speeding down the road and Joe and I jumped out of the way.
"What the hell, Jackass!?" Joe yelled and I looked at her in surprise.
"Wow," I said.
She rolled her eyes and said, "Let's just go." We started running again. We saw Johnny on the ground on the side of the road.
"Johnny!" Joe and I said at the same time. We ran up to him and he looked at us.
"Johnny, are you okay?!" Joe said.
"Fine, some jackass decided to speed down the road and almost hit me," he said.
"Yeah, we saw him," I said. Johnny got up and dusted himself off.
"What are you guys doing here?" Johnny asked.
"We came to help you. Max cannot get away with hurting Rain," I said.
Johnny smiled and said, "You guys believe me?"
I smiled and said, "Of course. I can tell when you're lying." Joe nodded and Johnny smiled. "And one question."
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Why did he say you were in love with him?" I asked. Johnny's eyes widened and he stuttered out some random words. I raised an eyebrow at him and said "Johnny, are you in love with Rain?" Johnny looked at the ground and bit his lip.
"Holy crap! You are!" Joe said. Johnny sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"Do you hate me now?" he asked me.
I sighed and said, "No, I can't hate you. I am shocked that you're gay though."
He groaned and said "I'm not gay!" Joe rolled her eyes and I laughed.
"Bro, you're in love with a boy. That kind of makes you gay."
He smiled a little and said, "Fine, I'm gay. How are we going to get Rain to believe us."
"Simple, we catch Max in the act," Joe said. Johnny and I looked at her as if she was crazy. "What?" she asked.
"That's not simple!" Johnny said.
"Do you have a better idea?" she asked. I looked at Johnny and he bit his lip.
"No," Johnny and I said.
"That's what I thought," Joe said.
(Johnny's Pov)
I ran my hand through my hair and tried to think of how we can catch max. "Why don't we just talk to Rain? Maybe he'll believe us if we all talk to him," I said.
"We can try," Joe said.
"Okay, let's get back to the house," Andy said.
We all walked back to the house and saw Rain sitting on his porch listening to music. We walked over to him and he looked up at us. He pulled out his earbuds and said, "Johnny, I've been waiting for you. We need to talk."
"We all have to talk actually," I said.
He looked at Joe and Andy and said, "Okay."
"Rain, Max is cheating on you," Joe said. Rain shook his head and stood up.
"Stop saying that! He's not cheating on me!"
"Rain, he really is. He called you a horse loving freak. He only wants s*x," I said. Rain looked at the ground and I saw a tear drop.
"How do you know?" he whispered.
"He was fighting me and then his phone rang. He answered it and his other boyfriend answered," I said.
"But he said he loved me," he said, his voice cracking. Joe stepped forward and hugged him.
"I'm so sorry, Rain. You don't deserve this," she said.
"How could he do this? I helped him through everything when he was going through some stuff," Rain said.
"He has his own issues, he's probably scared to get close to people because of his past," Andy said.
"No, don't make up excuses for him," Rain said.
"Are you going to be okay?" I asked.
He shrugged and said, "I guess, I'm really sorry for not believing you. I'm stupid to think anyone could actually love me." I sighed and asked Andy and Joe to give us some privacy. They left and I put my finger under Rain's chin and lifted his head up.
"Don't say that because it's not true," I said.
"How?" he asked.
"Because I love you," I said and kissed him.
