Chapter Eleven

(Rain's Pov)

"Because I love you," Johnny said those four words and my heart stopped. He then kissed me and I froze. I'll admit it, I've always had a crush on Johnny when we were little, but I never thought he would like me back. Hell, I never thought I would hear him say he loves me even if it was just friendly. But this wasn't just a friendly I love you, he actually loves me in a romantic way. I finally realized that he was still kissing me and I started to kiss back. I felt him smile and I pulled away. I was blushing like crazy and he wasn't any better. "I know you don't love me back but I don't care. I want to make you mine." My heart fluttered at his words, he really loves me! But wait- Max said he loved me but ended up hurting me. Why wouldn't Johnny do the same? He hurt me before, but maybe I should give him a chance.

"You want to make me yours? What about your reputation?" I asked.

"I don't care about my reputation. All I care about is you," he said and I smiled and hugged him.

"I have a question though," I said, "You ignore me for four years and then come back and say mean things to me, yet you're apparently in love with me?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and sighed.

"I know I was an asshole. I know I don't deserve to be with someone as amazing as you, but I can't help what I feel. I love you and that's the truth," he said. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waste and I was about to kiss him when my dads came out. They looked at us with looks of shock on their faces. Just as dad opened his mouth to say something Max pulled into the ranch in his truck. He slammed the door when he got out and glared at us.

"What the f**k?! Why are you with another guy?!" he yelled. I pulled away from Johnny and glared at him.

"Funny, I was wondering the same thing about you," I said and crossed my arms. Johnny got behind me and my parents just looked confused.

Dad put his hand up and said, "Whoa, back it up. What's going on here?"

"Max cheated on me. . .again," I said.

"What the hell? Where did you get that idea from?" Max said. That got me mad. I stomped up to him and poked his chest.

"Don't you dare lie to me! I know all you want is s*x, and I'm sorry but I'm not a w***e who goes around f*****g ever guy I see! So you can go back to your little boy toys because I'm not one of them!" I screamed. He looked at me in shock before he smirked.

"Whatever, I didn't want to f**k a horse loving freak anyway. You spend more time with the animals then you do with humans." I was about to defend myself but he wasn't done. "Oh, and don't forget about your little problems with people. You can't even talk to someone without having a panic attack! Aw, the little goth loser is afraid of people!" I clenched my fists and he started laughing. Luckily, the rest of the kids went into town to check out the place so they weren't here to see this.

"You're sick! What kind of person does that to someone?! Get the hell off my property before I make you!" Dad yelled at him. Max laughed again and got into his truck. He flipped us all off and drove away. I walked over to my dad and hugged him.

"Thanks, Dad," I said.

He smiled and said, "No problem." I stopped hugging him and Johnny came over to us.

"So, you and Johnny, huh?" Daddy said. Johnny chuckled and wrapped his arms around me from behind. I leaned back into him and nodded.

"I haven't exactly said yes yet," I said.

Johnny snorted and said, "I don't give a freak, you're mine and no one else can have you."

I giggled and said, "Freak?"

"Yes, I don't cuss in front of adults," Johnny said and motioned to my parents. I laughed and dad shrugged.

"I couldn't care less if you cussed," Dad said and Daddy agreed.

"Hey, I just realized," I said and everyone looked at me. "Where did Andy and Joe go?" Johnny shrugged and I walked away from him. I walked behind the house and my jaw hit the floor when I found them. "No way!" I said. Andy and Joe stopped kissing and jumped away from each other. I pointed to Joe and then at Andy with a huge smile on my face. "I ship it." Joe and Andy were blushing but they smiled when I said that. "So, how'd this happen?" I asked.

"I don't know. . ." Joe said.

"I was apologizing to her and I guess we kind of felt attracted to each other," Andy said.

"That's so sweet!" I said, "Johnny and I are dating by the way."

"Awesome! But how are you going to date when he lives four hours away from you?" My smile dropped and I ran my hand through my hair.

"I haven't thought of that. . ." I looked at the ground and sighed. "I have to go talk to Johnny." They nodded and I walked back to the front of the house.

"Hey, did you find them?" Johnny said.

"Yeah, they're dating now," I said. Now it was Johnny's turn to be shocked.

"Did not see that coming," he mumbled.

"Johnny, we can't date," I said. He looked at me and I could tell I broke his heart.

"Wh-What? Why?" he asked.

"We live like four hours away from each other," I said.

"But I love you!" he said, "We can Skype or text! Hell, we could get a f*******: and talk on there!"

"I don't want a relationship like that. I'm sorry," I said. "Maybe we'll run into each other later on." He bit his lip to keep the tears from spilling over.

"Okay, I understand," he said.

I gave him a hug and said, "We can still hang out while you're here. We have like five days left."

He nodded and said, "You're right. We'll make the best of it." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks for understanding." He smiled and we walked hand in hand into the house.
