BLIND

"Tsk, what an eyesore?", Yasmine scoffed while looking down the window where she could clearly watch Louisa. It's been just three days since Louisa had gotten out of the deep coma that kept her unconscious for a whole three months. While she lay unconscious, Yasmine didn't bother because she was bound to die, at least there was supposed to be no chance for her to survive, yet she did. "Sister, don't you think the dummy had changed a lot.", Yasmine said with discontent after pulling down the curtains. She walked towards Alina who sat in front of the mirror with a whole set of make up. "Whether she had changed or not, it won't change the fact that she's a bastard who has never been loved. And it won't change as long as I'm here.", Alina said confidently while she smeared her lips with a red lip stick. "I know, but I can't bear to see her face, she should have died on that...." "Shhhhh;", Alina immediately cut Yasmine off her words in order to avoid any casualty on their side.It was true that Louisa wasn't well loved, but no one was oblivious that she had a certain importance in the family that couldn't be neglected. "Be careful with your words Alina, the walls have ears. Everyone night give a blind eye to bullies, but not murderers. Don't forget Louisa is now engaged to Marshal Helios, any mistake of ours might lead to our downfall and ruin our family reputation." "The first young master is just a disabled man, who would care about him, besides I bet he doesn't care about the dummy. She surely won't survive with him, but the first young master had been away for eight years, who knows when he'll be back." "Even this way, Louisa is still a daughter in-law in his family, a family we can't offend." "Damn, I hate how lucky that b***h is, this marriage was supposed to condemn her, but it seems to be her luck!" "Relax, not for long." "Do you have a plan sis?" "Not yet, but I bet opportunities don't lack, we just need to becareful not to drag our family name with her." Alina pulled open the curtains of her window and watched Louisa with a wicked intent. She wished for no good towards Louisa and though she didn't openly reveal her disdain towards Louisa, it was obvious that she hated her to the core. "Hmph, just look at that annoying face of hers. God knows what came over her, she started reading medicinal books, what does she know about medicines?" The previous Louisa was oblivious about medicine, whether ancient or modern, but this new Louisa knew more than the two sisters could tell. They couldn't tell that the new Louisa won many awards before being killed by her foster sister friend and fiancé. "Miss, I brought your medicine, you should drink it while its hot.", Ermine walked towards Louisa with a bowl of medicine, brown in colour. Just by sniffing it, Louisa would tell what had been added in it. It wasn't a dangerous decoction, but it was a type of of drug that makes one confuse that was capable enough to weaken the body. 'No wonder the previous Louisa was considered a dummy, drinking a great amount of such decoction is bound to make her look like a fool. "Why did you bring this to me, I'm not sick." "Miss, this is the normal medicine you always took. You've had a weak constitution since birth, so madam always this medecine replenish your strength as prescribed by the old family doctor." "The madam sent it?", Louisa sadly asked as she couldn't believe that the gentle woman, epitome of her late mother could actually try to harm her. She was obviously supposed to be the only one who cared about her, but this drug sent by her or perharps it hadn't been sent by her, she wanted to believe, but no one was trusted. She trusted once and had to bare its fatal consequences. "Take it away, I'm fine so I don't need that any longer." "But miss...." ~ pang Louisa closed the book she had been reading and kept it on the table. "Tell 'mother' that she doesn't need to bother about me, I'm perfectly ok, I don't need the medicine. I'm going to take a walk in the woods." "No miss, you shouldn't, old madam is very strict, if she knows that you went out without permission she..." It was that same old madam who's name was to be feared and her presence was caused shiver to her body, though she had never met her before. Perharps this reaction reflected from the emotions of the previous Louisa, which certainly meant she wasn't any easy. For someone who took control of her son's household even after he was married, she was sure not an ordinary person. "If I'm not being told on, I don't think there should be any problem." Louisa was pointing fingers at Ermine, though she seemed calmed and relaxed with her. The few words she pronounced simply hinted that no one could be trusted. "Even if I don't say a word, Miss Alina won't let you off, please think it through miss." "You won't change my mind, neither would they(Alina and Yasmine). "But Miss." "Since I woke up from the coma I suddenly realized that problems would always come by our way, no matter how we avoid it. So rather than trying to avoid it, why not be prepared to face it." Louisa said and no one could stop her from doing what she had decided. She had time to observe the sorrounding of the Island and realised that it grew valuable herbs rather helpful. She wasn't a herbalist but she had learned a lot about herbs and their functions from her grand father. She even learnt acupuncture in order to broaden her horizon, she did nothing more than concentrate in medicine, helping and avoiding trouble. She loved and trusted, yet those feelings caused her pain and death. Though she had been transmigrated into another body similar to hers, she* could still feel the pain of the stabs from her best friend and the indifferent expression of her beloved fiancé when she died at his foot in a pool of blood. Those memories had eaten Louisa(Jane) up since she transmigrated, but it didn't matter, because Jane was death and Louisa was born to avenge her, but in order to do so she had to become more powerful. Louisa went deeper into the forest picking herbs to help her body recuperate from the damage caused by her 'family'.She needed to expulse every toxin accumulated over the years and f as for her revenge and great come back, there was still a long way to go. "I guess this should do.", Louisa said, stocking the last herb in her back, but she didn't expect to encounter a man on her way He was a handsome man in good shape, no matter the distance that separated them, she could tell, he looked more like a precious painting worth an unaffordable amount. He walked towards her direction, leaning and groping on trees, as if he had been agonising, but it was probably the case, because he suddenly fell to the ground. Anyone would have freaked at that scene, but for someone who had experienced worst than death and attended few forensic cases, a corps meant nothing for her, but as a doctor patient's life was of great importance, so she walked towards the man and knelt by his side. He was still breathing, but he seemed to be suffering from a rare poisson that was usually supposed to be transfered from the mother to the child. Either the man in front of her was poisoned by his mother or his mother had enemies, because no mother would want harm to her child. Luckily he was able to survive, but he probably had some sequaels. "Heye sir, can you hear me.", Louisa tried to wake the man after perforning acupuncture on him to relieve his pain. But what she didn't expect was to be caught by the neck by the man who abruptly got up. "Who are you, speak?", He was an extremely handsome man with lovely violet eyes, but void of emotions. But there was more into those eyes when Louisa looked closely. "You....you are blind ?" Unbelievable as it was, the man in front of her was actually blind, but no ordinary person would be able to say at first glance.
