It is the sound of my laptop after I closed it with too much force. Ms. G went inside my room after I heard her knock. She did not even dare to ask if she could come in.
“I saw that, what are you hiding?” She asked me teasingly with her eyes staring funnily at me.
“Nothing?” I replied to her as I hid the laptop at my back. The thing is, if she gets the laptop from my hand and turns it on, she will see the folder I made and now it's full of pictures.
“That’s the question. What’s in your back?” She asked me as she walked slowly towards me. I can’t move any longer because I am at my desk and it is the end, even if I want to move backwards.
“A thing.” I replied to her.
“I wonder what it is,” She said, as she is now close to me. There is only 12 inches between us.
