Krystal
Luckily, the principal agreed with our plan and what shocked me even more was the fact that the principal immediately replied casually to my senior. It was mind-blowing in my case.
“Why do you have to go back to your school?” Ms. G asked me. I actually had told her the reason already, yet she kept asking about it, knowing the answer already. I think she does not want me to go to school on this day.
“I have to help my seniors. I already told you.” I replied to her.
“Why? I mean, they can do it.” She said to me.
“What? Of course they can, but because I was the one who recommended it, I should be there.” I said to her.
“Okay, but make sure to go back after it has finished.” She replied to me.
She is worried that maybe something will happen to me because I am a young lady going back to a school that has no classes on Saturday and also most of my seniors are men. But she actually does not have to worry because I can protect myself.
“I’m going.” I said to her as I went inside the car. She even really tried her best to stop me from going to school.
As soon as I fastened the car’s belt, the driver started to drive to my school.
Our school is far from my home, but not really. I don’t know, sometimes I feel like the school is near and there are also times it feels far. I am also not good when it comes to distance though.
(School)
“Thanks for the ride. I will leave a message when I am finished here.” I said to my driver.
“Understood. Have a nice day.” He replied to me and then I gave him a soft smile and walked on my way to the club.
I then heard the car’s engine going.
“This is a nice time to go to school.” I said to myself as I roamed my eyes around the campus. There are no signs of students at all.
Well, there are no classes on Saturday’s and I heard that no one gets inside the campus when it is Saturdays, but we were allowed because we had something to do here.
That makes our school really good because no one gets to enter from the outside. It is quite cool. The security and everything. The security also treat us so well, as if they were well taught about that specific aspect.
“Good morning.” I said as soon as I entered the club room. The door was open already when I entered.
“Hi, Krystal. Good morning. You really came.” He said to me.
“Of course, it was my idea after all.” I replied to PP.
“Hi.” His boyfriend said to me.
“Are there only the three of us?” I asked them.
“Unfortunately, yes. Didn’t you like it?” He asked me.
“Cool.” I replied to him.
I think he already knows that I am not the kind of person who likes to be in a group of people.
Having just the three of us in here is really a good thing for me because I think I can do my job well without anyone clinging to me and being friendly (fake) to me.
“I knew you would like it.” PP replied, smiling.
“Why?” His boyfriend asked us while his head was turning to look at the two of us.
“You don’t have to know.” PP replied to his boyfriend and continued to paint the box.
“Are you really ignoring me?” His boyfriend said to PP as he touched him on the shoulder.
“What the hell am I seeing right now?” I said to myself. I feel like I am watching a drama with these two having a shallow love quarrel.
“Of course I am not, Krystal here is fed up with others. It is already a miracle that she is talking with us and having this conversation.” PP said to his boyfriend.
PP was right, it is already a miracle that even I myself can’t understand the fact why I am talking with them like this.
“Really? Let it be, when PP and I started to be in a relationship, people were talking at our backs and we ignored all of them. You should continue being like that. We support you.” He said to me. I think he knows the fact that others are talking about me.
I guess people know about me in this school already. But as for what I have been doing, I don’t care. Although there are just times that make me think in a way how amazing fake stories are being transferred from one to another. And how stupid people believe what they say. I know that this is all the doings of Naomi. She does not want me to live well. That is why she does all these things. I can’t even remember what wrong I did to her in the first place.
“You are right.” I replied to him.
“Wait, I think I was not able to properly introduce myself to you.” He said to me.
“Finally, he realized it.” I said to myself.
“Yeah.” I replied shortly to him.
“My name is Billkin, by the way.” He said to me and offered his hand for a shake.
“Krystal,” I replied to him and shook his hand. It sounded as if I was saying that it was clear to me that his name was Billkin.
“Cool.” He replied to me.
“Wow, look at the two of you while I am still painting here.” PP said and looked at us with an unbelievable look.
“Sorry,” his boyfriend said to him.
“They look cute.” I said to myself.
PP and Billkin are now starting to paint the first box.
“Where did you get these boxes?” I asked both of them curiously and they turned to look at me.
“We made it.” PP replied to me.
“Really? It is good,” I said to them.
The box looks like a doll house to me because there is an opening that can be locked after you put your letter inside.
“Thanks.” They both replied. They were really in sync when they said the word.
“Why is the color read?” I asked them. Somehow, I think that the reason is because it is about love.
“It is because red is the only available paint we have here,” Billkin replied.
“Seriously?” I asked them.
“Yeah.” PP shortly replied while continuing to paint the box.
I thought I was right, but I did not expect the reason to be this one.
“If there were available colors, what would you want to paint them with?” I asked them. I think the reason why they used the available colors is because it is wasteful not to use them, but another paint just so we can use another color.
“Still red.” Billkin and PP replied in sync again.
“They are really unbelievable,” I said to myself.
“I see.” I replied shortly, because I didn’t know what else to say.
“Red is the color of love and at the same time, it is attractive to look at our white walls. Besides, red is like the signature color of our club because the name of our club was painted in red too. So many red colors.” PP said to me.
“What he said to me makes sense. That is why there was an available red color, I guess.” I said to myself.
“No wonder it looks good,” I said to them.
“Of course,” PP replied. He is so confident.
There are only two boxes that we are going to finish today and, at the same time, we have to clean the broadcasting club so it is clean when we use it.
“I will start cleaning the broadcasting room.” I said to them.
“Are you sure?” Billkin said to me.
I guess there are a lot of things to clean in there.
“Yeah,” I replied.
“There is a ghost in there,” Billkin said to me. As if I get scared of those kinds of things. I did not even see one, so I didn’t believe it. Simple as that.
“Wouldn’t that be awesome?” I asked him.
“I was kidding. Just that the place is full of dust. Make sure you cover your nose.” He said to me.
“Okay. Thanks.” I replied to him.
Gladly, I was able to bring my handkerchief, so I can use it.
“Why isn’t it here?” I asked myself as I tried to touch my pocket.
“Maybe it is in my bag,” I said to myself. I brought a small bag to put my phone and wallet in. I might have put my handkerchief inside it, not in my pocket.
I opened my bag but still there was no handkerchief.
“Are there any open places here to buy a face mask?” I asked them.
“No. There are no places like that on weekends.” Billkin replied to me.
“I see.” I replied to them. I can’t ask them to lend their handkerchief to me because that is so humiliating to do.
“You can try going to the next room and ask them if they have any face masks.” PP said to me.
“Next room?” I asked confusedly.
“Yeah, the student council room. They are full of things, even useless ones,” PP said to me. I like how honest he is with the way he thinks right now.
“They are here too?” I asked PP.
“Yeah. If they have to finish some paperwork, they are very diligent,” Billkin replied to me.
“I see. I will go there then.” I said to them.
I went next to the door and opened it. Then I walked a bit to go to the next room. It is locked and I can hear voices inside now. It is because I am this close.
*Knock
I knocked three times, then the door opened.
“Oh! What are you doing here?” He asked.
“I was helping my seniors with something,” I replied to him.
“I see,” he replied.
“Uhmm… I would like to ask if you have a face mask in here.” I said to him.
“Yeah, we have.” He replied to me.
“Can I buy one?” I asked him.
“We don’t sell them. But I can give it to you if you say my name.” He said to me.
“What the hell is he up to?” I said to myself as soon as I heard what he said to me.
“Are you serious?” I asked because I could not take what was inside my mouth and what it wanted to say.
“Yeah. I think you forgot my name. Besides, you never call me by my name every time our paths cross.” He said to me.
“Why is he making it like a drama?” I asked myself.
“Your name is James Ellis. We are classmates and you are a new member of the student council club. You were awarded many times, both in curricular and academic. Please give it to me now.” I said to him.
I know his name now because I looked it out on Google yesterday. I should know his name, because starting today he is now my rival. He is so freaking smart that I hate him. I had never met a rival as smart as him before. That could make me think that I will go for 2nd in my class now.
“Wow! Thanks. I think you looked me up on Google. That is what shows when I search for my name.” He said with a smiley face.
“What an i***t. Why is he happy telling me that he is searching for his name on Google? He is so full of himself,” I said to myself.
“Good for you.” I replied to him without care.
“Here.” He said to me and gave me a face mask.
“Thanks.” I said to him and turned my back at him.
“What a jerk,” I said to myself.
