“You lied to me.” I slammed the door to Caius’ bedroom open and for a moment he found it impossible to hide his shock before he caught himself and smirked at my apparent anger. He was alone in his room, because the woman he had been using to get to me was of no interest to him if I wasn’t at home, and he had been sitting at a table looking through some documents written on rolls of papyrus that had probably been important by Marius.
