Chapter 14

Aiden POV

No one said a word after she punched me. No one ever punched me except during training. Rouges tried but I always ripped them apart before they could. It took a few minutes for myself to calm down. My Wolf? Howling in my head at how excited he is. He likes her sass and apparently the fact she doesn't care we are an alpha. I can just see his tail wagging. I walked out of the gym with Hayden following me I needed to blow off steam. We walked toward the edge of the forest and shifted. If there weren't any rouges on our territory then I'd hunt a bigger prey.

We picked up the scent of a couple deer and were getting ready to go after them when Ally mindlinked me telling me to meet her at Rylee's house. I scoffed and refused shutting her out. I don't let my pack members treat me such disrespect why would let a human. My wolf had no intention of denying her but I was starting to think maybe a human is a bad idea as a mate. There are plenty of she wolves around. Lauren is always flirting with me. I could try her out and see if its what i like.

Hayden and I missed the deer but stopped by a creek to wash up. We shifted and entered the water, it was nice a cold. "Ally mind linked me.." I put my hand up to stop him "she mindlinked me too. I don't let this pack treat me like that why am I going to let a human? I'm assuming she thinks I should go apologize." I scoffed. Hayden splashed water in my face. "She's missing." I linked ally and told her to meet me at her house. I jumped out of the water and shifted Hayden behind me running full force.

"I'm already here with her brother and Lauren."

"You didn't think to lead with the fact she's missing?!"

"I tried to tell you but your stupid ego was so hurt you wouldn't let me finfish."

"my ego wasn't hurt."

Great now she's laughing. Sisters i swear

"your ego was so hurt! You love the fact she doesn't look at you like a big bad alpha but you hate it too. You crave the respect but when someone tests that you have this uncontrolable urge to make them. So they don't show the immediate respect that Alphas get and you love it. She put you in your place as a guy and you cant handle it. But whatever inner struggle you are having with your wolf get over it and help us find her."

When we arrived Ryder walked out of the house and met us. "Why don't y'all have shirts on? Doesn't matter, she took off running as we pulled up. I yelled for her to take her phone but she didn't hear me." Lauren and Ally came out. "Why didn't you call us sooner?" He shrugged. "When she gets overwhelmed she goes for a run, she's done it our whole lives. Normally she would be back by now but I feel the twin connection. She's lost." I nodded and looked at Hayden. "Ally you and Hayden will come with me to see if we can find her, Lauren stay here with Ryder." She took a step forward grabbing my forearm. "Have Ally stay, I'll go with you." I removed my arm from her hands and turned towards the forest. "Girl keep you paws off my brother, you know he doesn't like you like that." I heard Ally say to here before following us. Wolf hearing I know Ryder didn't hear it. As soon as we got to the forest line we shifted and took off running.

We had asked trackers to come and help us look for her. we sniffed around and faintly caught her scent as we followed and it got stronger Ally froze. "Why is it?" I asked her. "There's another scent, not a rouge but some wolf. I cant place it." She said following it. "It follows her path. Whoever it is is following her." I growled out to get every one moving and find her. I have to. Ally was right it was my big ego that was hurt. I needed to make sure she's safe.

"Alpha we found her." I heard through the mind link and ran to my tracker. I shifted and put on my shorts as Ally put her clothes on so we could go check on her. "She's down by there. She hasn't moved, she maybe hurt." I dismissed them and made my way through the bush. She turned around startled. She was breathing hard and I could tell she was crying. She had mud and leaves stuck all over her. When Ally came out she called for her and started to cry. I felt a tug at my heart that she wanted my sister to comfort her not me. We walked to her and ally hugged her and asked if she's ok. "No no something is out there it was following me. I was trying to get back home when I realized I was lost and I kept walking hoping I was going the right direction when I saw something follow me. I thought it was the wolf that visited me last night but it wasn't. I took off running and then slid down here. My knee hurts real bad and I cant get hurt I cant be hurt, my scholarship." She started to cry harder as she hugged my sister. I pulled out my phone and told Hayden to head back tot he house and get the doctor to come look at her. "Here. Ally cant carry you but I can." I held out my hand and she hesitantly took it. I pulled her up and into my arms she squirmed and whimpered. I set her down and turned around so she was on my back. "Sorry this should be better for your knee." she nodded.

She wasn't far from her house so we made it back rather quick. Her brother came running out and she dropped off my back and limped to him and fell into his arms. He hugged her as she cried and he kissed the top of her head. My wolf pushed my wall. "Stop its her brother" I told him, he just mumbled annoyed. Hayden and the doctor pulled up less then 30 seconds later. "Rylee, this is our pack doctor. Doctor Sumner, Will you let him look over you?" Ally asked sitting next to her. She nodded. As she was being looked at and asked questions Laruen poked her head out. She walked up to me, "Alpha can I speak to you for a moment?" I nodded and we walked a few feet away, I wasn't letting Rylee out of my site. "Forgive me for earlier, I wasn't trying to mess up your plan. I know she's your mate. I'm just scared cause I think... her brother... is mine. I don't know how human and wolf is supposed to work." I nodded. "Slow. Humans and wolves can be together but we have to introduce them slowly. Talk to him, be his friend." She smiled and walked away.

"good news is you seem to be perfect, your knee isn't broken just a sprain. Keep off it for a while and it should be good as new if there are any problems let me know. Oh you may have a concussion so try not to fall asleep and it would be good if you missed Monday school to rest." She nodded and thanked him. "Ill take the doctor home Aiden, Ally do you want a ride? Lauren?" the both nodded and stood up. "I can take Lauren home, I know she lives opposite from you and Aiden." Ryder said. Lauren blushed and just nodded. I knelt down to Rylee as she kept an ice pack on her knee. Ryder before leaving handed her her phone and kissed the top of her head. "Text me if you need me twin." she smile and nodded.

Once we were alone I just watched her pulls leaves off of her. "Would you like help inside?" She quietly said yes. I took her hands and helped her stand she turned to limp inside when I picked her up bridal way. "you don't have to carry me, I can walk" I chuckled. "Barely. Just open the doors for me and I'll help you inside." As soon as we were I walked with her in my arms upstairs. "where are you going?" "Well you are covered in mud and leaves, I thought you'd like to shower." She didn't say anything just pointed out her room. I walked in and set her down. She limped to her closet as I took in her room. She came out a second later and went to her bathroom. I followed her in. "what are you doing?!" "I'm going to wait be there if you need help." "No no no out, I don't need help showering especially from you." She slammed the door in my face. I wasn't leaving so I walked around her room and looked at everything taking in this small piece of her life that was all her own. I listened to make sure she didn't fall or anything. After a few minutes the water stopped. She walked out with her hair in a towel and shirt and shorts on. She didn't see me in the corner looking at a board of pics from her old school I'm guessing. When she turned around she yelped. "Why are you still here?" "to make sure you are ok, and I'm not leaving. You cant fall asleep so I'm here to keep you company and make sure your stay awake." She groaned and looked at me annoyed. "Tell me about the wolf that you saw last night."
