Chapter 19

Rylee POV

When I walked down stairs this morning, I smelt that coffee had already been made. I didn't expect to walk into the kitchen and see Lauren and my brother sucking face. Although the reaction after my squeak was funny. Ally had knocked on the door as I was catching my breath from laughing at them. We started to get stuff for breakfast when I heard my bedroom door upstairs close. I knew Aiden was coming down and I was honestly embarrassed. I didn't expect Lauren or Ally here so they saw him come downstairs. Probably gonna think we had s*x and we didn't. I was pouring him a cup when I felt his arms snake around my waist. I squealed and turned. He had his arms around me tightly and his face sitting in the crook of my neck. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Once he started to place kisses on my neck, I grabbed his arm. I had to focus on not moaning. I placed my hands on his shoulders and started to push away, but not before he lightly bit my neck. A small whimper got caught in my throat. I quickly gave him his cup and took a drink from mine, trying to force that whimper down. Ally brought over some clothes for him to wear. As soon as Ally called him Alpha I looked to Ryder who was busy mixing waffle batter. He closed the waffle iron as it made them and looked toward me. "When are you going to let him mark you?" the immediate silence was deafening. did Ryder know about wolves? Who told him? Why was he so calm? I looked over at Lauren who wasn't meeting my eye. "Are you two?" I couldn't finish. Ryder just flashed me a huge smile and then looked at Lauren winking before turning around to attend the waffles. I looked at Lauren who was blushing. "I told him about us being mates last night but he had already known about us and was doing research, I just answered some questions." She said shyly. "How did you find out Ryder?" I asked him. "He heard me telling you about us." Aiden said walking in. He was instantly making me drool. He had dark blue jeans on and aa tight black v neck shirt that hugged him everywhere just right. He was definitely a Greek god in a past life that's for sure. "And you all are just so calm about this?" Everyone looked at each other and shrugged before nodding. "well ok then." was I all I said before turning around and making breakfast.

Ryder and I went all out. We had waffles, eggs, French toast, bacon. I even made chorizo and pulled out the last of our grandmas home made tortillas. Our next visit out there she said she will teach me how to make them cause I can not live without them. "Where did you guys learn to do this?" Ally asked filling her plate to the brim. "We cooked all the time before moving, we are part Hispanic so we tend to go all out when cooking. Our grandma also said she would tech me how to make the tortillas cause these are like crack." I said warming each one on the stove before putting it on a plate. "Oh by the way Rylee I invited them to our camping trip this summer." Ryder said. I instantly dropped the tortilla on the floor and looked at Ryder. I retreated into my head as Ryder and I began to argue in our heads. "Ok what is that?" Aiden said. "You both stare at each other and go quite." "its a twin thing, how you guys mind link, we can almost do the same thing. We can basically hear what the other person is thinking and we even argue like we are now." He glared. "You wanna do this out loud cause we can." I said back to him not backing down. "Why don't you want them to come?" He said and all eyes snapped on me. This Ass hole. "That's not what I said ass hole." It worked for me, I couldn't think of what else to call him. "If they want to come and join us as we live our last summer with our old life before college they can, I just figured you would want to do this just us." He sighed and leaned back and then locked eyes. I knew what was coming. "You don't want to show off your Alpha boyfriend to you ex to make him sorry for what he did? I'm taking Lauren cause I want her there to meet everyone and to show that b***h Morgan, I did better." I forgot Ryder had also had his heart broken too. He was just always better at hiding it. I glanced over at Aiden who had perked up when Ryder called him my boyfriend. "Aiden would you like to go?" I asked him. The smile that he cracked was beautiful. "Oh my god, I've never seen you smile before." Lauren said louder than she has ever spoken before. "That's because I didn't have my mate before. Am I going as your boyfriend though?" I nodded and sat next to him as everyone started to eat. "Ok is no one going to invite me? Am I just chopped liver?" Ally said. "We figured you were all kind of a packaged deal." Ryder said not even looking up. She just smiled and nodded.

After breakfast we all decided to do different things. Ally went back home to study. Lauren and Ryder went up to his room to watch tv or something. After I did the dishes with Aiden watching me the whole time I turned to him and asked if he wanted to go for a walk in the forest. We were walking and not really saying to much to each other, we held hands but the air between us was thick. "So about this camping trip." Aiden finally said as we continued to walk. I did squeak a little when he said that." So every year our group of friends would go camping in the woods. No adults, just us partying it up for a couple days. We sleep in tents cook over the fire, or on the portable stove, and we are just there. We play games, tell stories, roast each other. Its a lot of fun." I said smiling at the memories. "But that guy will be there?" I nodded. "His group and my group got mixed when a couple people started dating." I said. "Well I'm excited to go and see what I'm up against." I looked at him confused. "To fix what he broke" I smile and shook my head. "don't feel pressured to come." I jerked his hand so he would stop walking and look at me. "And let you out of my sight with other males around. Never, besides you'll be in the woods. You need a big Alpha to protect you." The smirk that played on his face was all to hot. "I'm sure there is nothing in the woods. We go to the same spot and for years we've seen nothing. But i am happy you are going to come." I tell him stepping closer. "Wait does this mean you accept me?'' He says leaning down meeting my eye level. "I still need to take it slow, but yes I accept you." I wrap my arms around his neck as he picks me up and spins me around. He cups my face when he sets me back down and kisses me deeply. "You have no idea how happy you just made me." I feel tingle run across my lip when his thumb runs across my lower one. I instinctly put my hand on my mouth as he looks confused. "I felt.. I don't know...tingles or sparks when your thumb grazed my lip." I said chewing on it slightly as it itched. "That's the bond, you'll feel more spark as we get closer and the need to be next to me all the time too." He wiggled his eyebrows. I laughed and immediately stopped when i saw a wolf behind Aiden. "Is that someone from the pack?" I asked and nodded behind him. He slowly turned and stiffened. I heard the wolf and Aiden both growl. "Rylee Run back to the house and do not stop till you get there." I took a step back I didn't want to leave him. "Now." He yelled as he rushed forward shifting as the other wolf lunged.

I scream and turned to run as I was running I could hear the snarls and yelps of pain. I heard a howl that me turn to look behind me when I faced forward I was met with a tree as I smashed my head against it. the pain was unbearable. I rolled to my side as everything was blurry and spinning. I grabbed the tree and stood put my hand to my head and saw blood. I took a few steps trying to keep steady as I made my way back to the house. I fell as stars started to dance in my vision. I looked up and saw someone run toward me, I couldn't move. The person was grabbed and held back as he was yelling and trying his hardest to get to me. I saw the person behind him open his mouth un normally wide and bite his neck. Blood was everywhere the person stopped and fell limp. The person behind just tossed his body to the side like it was nothing. The stars in my eyes got brighter as the world got darker. I tried to move but my body was unresponsive. "Aiden.." was all I managed to say before darkness took me.
