As the queen looks at me with tears in her eyes as I dress her in unusual silence. I know that for me to be her decoy this night does not sit well with her. I would not be in truth if I did not say that fear was nipping at my skirts, but I will do this not for my queen, but for my friend. My only comfort is that Salker does not wish harm on the Queen, his evil intentions are to have her as his own, but he does wish harm on the King, and so I fear for Carson as much as myself.
