Chapter 3

CHAPTER 4

After the wedding the couple left for the god's realm where they were going to stay since they belonged there anyway, Blue felt sad when she saw her brother leaving. but she didn't know how to express it.

Blue was now walking the way to her room as she was really exhausted, some would say vampires do not sleep, but actually, they do.

As soon as she entered the room that her parents gave she took off her clothes and took a quick shower.

After that, she went to sleep...

Flashbacks in Blue's dream...

"How many times should I tell you that you weren't like those kids?!," Blues father Alec, showed as he saw her a while ago playing with some kids around her age.

" I just wanted to play with them father," Little Blue said as her eyes moved to her father's hand and there she saw that he was holding a whip, she already knew what will happen to her it isn't surprising though it was even better than what he did to her before that she almost died.

"Now. you already know what to do after this," Alec said to her as he make her kneel and whip her with the whip he was holding.

Little Blue wanted to cry as tears wanted to escape from her eyes, but she knows if she did it he will double her punishment. All she could do was bite her lips as she grunt quietly, she doesn't know why is her father was so strict with her, she knows that he has some goal that is to kill his brother which she still hasn't seen.

"This will serve you a lesson that you should always obey and follow what I said,!" Alec shouted as he whipped her for the thirtieth time.

She doesn't know how long can she still remain conscious because the last time he punished her it took her a while to regain her consciousness and heal her wounds since he was not just simply using an ordinary weapon to punish her, he will make it sure that it was too painful for her.

She can already feel numbness in her back, she can't feel the pain anymore as her vision was getting blurry, she doesn't know what happened next as she loses consciousness.

"What have you done to the poor kid, Alec?" Blue heard as she regain consciousness. That voice she knew who it came from, it was from Gustave.

Gustave was the one who raised her when her father, Alec, was away to find more vampires who were rebelling and convince them to be on their side.

"I did what she deserve, " Blue heard her father say coldly.

"She's still young, Alec how could you do this to her? and really? using the silver whip to punish her? that's too over," She heard Gustave say to her father.

"I know what I'm doing, Gustave. If you're against it and try to stop me the next time, I'll forget you're my friend." Her father said to Gustave and then she heard a loud bang from the door, it seems like her father left the room already.

Blue bit her lip to stop herself from tearing up. She must be used to this but she can't help to cry. Hearing it from her own father still hurts her the reason why sometimes she wonders if she really is his daughter.

She stretched her back a little and grunted silently when she felt too much pain in her back.

She heard the door of her room open, she raised her head a little to see who it was tho' she already knew who.

"How are you?"Gustave asked her.

"Fine," she answered sparingly.

"Does it hurt?" he again asked her, sincerity visible in his voice.

"No. Just a little." she denied, she didn't want him to think that she is weak.

"Hmm. You want me to prepare something for you?" he again asked. Too many questions irritate Blue but hearing someone asking her with full of sincerity only gives her the courage to answer his questions,

"I'm sort of starving," the young and innocent Blue answered honestly as she can hear her stomach growling.

"Okay. Wait 'till I come back, I will just cook for you." Gustave answered before he left the room.

While waiting, Blue tried standing up to see if the pain is bearable enough. She is startled when someone opens her room door harshly. It was her father, Alec.

"What do you think you are doing? You really have the guts to ask Gustave to cook something for you, huh?" Alec asks her in a mocking manner.

"I didn't ask him to do that for me. He asked me if I'm hungry and I only answered him honestly," Blue answered while looking down.

"You don't talk to me like that, Blue. You want me to punish you... once again?" he asked her devilishly which made Blue lift her gaze.

"No, no, please. I'll be good," she answered hoping her father won't torture her again. Alec look at her from head to toe before he slammed the door leaving her there with teary eyes.

Meanwhile, Gustave heard it all along. He heard how his friend threat the innocent kid. He can't take it anymore, they may be a good friend but that doesn't mean he will tolerate his friend's behavior. He was silent for such a long time. He takes out from his pocket the letter he wrote months ago, he has been keeping that letter for a while now. He knew every now and then he will tell Blue the truth but he don't think he can tell her personally since she is being guarded by Alec. So he thinks that by writing a letter, he will be able to tell her the truth without harming his and her life.

He opened the door and found her seating, staring at the nothingness. He feels bad for her, at a very young age she deserves to be treated as a princess, not like a grown-up warrior.

"Here take this," he handed her the letter.

"What is this, Gustave?" she asked.

"You deserve to know the truth, Bl— " he wasn't able to finish his words when just like earlier someone opened the door harshly. Blue immediately hid the letter.

"What are you doing in my daughter's room, Gustave?" he asked him.

"He deserves to know the truth, Alec." he firmly said. And just like that, Alec snatched his friend as they went out of her room.

"What do you think you are doing? You have no right to tell her the truth. Who are you in our lives anyway?" he didn't let him answer. He immediately took out his knife from his side pocket.

With jaw clenching, he reached for his friend's neck. He chokes him to death before letting him go. He grinned when he saw how weak his friend is.

"I haven't done anything except from, choking you yet you already look like you are about to die," he said and smiled mysteriously.

Alec went near him before he cut a slit in his friend's throat. Gustave groaned in so much pain. He even cut it deeper.

"Beg for me to stop, Gustave," he teases yet Gustave just groaned. He was irritated by his friend's response so he stab him in the back how many times until he spit out plenty amount of blood.

He did not stop there. He continuously tortured him 'till he was out of breath...

Blue witnessed everything that her father did to the man who raised her, her father mercilessly killed his friend, He was even smirking when the latter died in front of him and slowly turned into ash.

Blood, was all over the floor, and Blue wanted to cry but she couldn't find her voice, all she could do was witness everything while crying, she even saw how her father, stabbed Gustave before it finally disappeared and turned into ash.

In her young mind, she couldn't believe that her father could be so cruel and monstrous.

She went back to her room with the letter in her hand. She has no plan to read it... for now. Her mind is still occupied with what happened. How could her father be cruel to everyone around him? How could he kill someone who did nothing but be good to him?

That same night, she fell asleep with a cloudy mind and heavy heart.

Blue was sleeping, and when she heard some footsteps coming inside her room, she knew who it was as she could sense its energy.

She heard some little sounds coming from that person, it looks like he was looking for something, but Blue continued to pretend to be asleep so that she could fool it.

She already predicted this to happen when she received the letter from Gustave, knowing her father wouldn't want her to have it. She was so sure that her father was able to see what Gustave handed to her. So, before she slept, she took the letter out from the envelope. She kept it somewhere her father wouldn't be able to find.

She then replaced it with a letter she made. After that, she placed it under her pillow.

"Where did she put it?!" she heard her father ask himself frustratingly.

She moves to the other side of the bed, eyes still closed and still pretending asleep. She felt the other side of the bed sink.

"Got it!" she heard him say. His voice was low, but it was evident that he was rejoicing with too much joy.

Her father stood up while she had no plan to open her eyes, not until when she felt her nose getting itchy. And just like that, she sneezes. There is nowhere to go...

"What are you doing here, Father? Do you need something?" she asked... pretending to be shocked as she looks at his hand, which holds the envelope.

"Oh, I just got this envelope. I saw Gustave handing it to you earlier, and he also mentioned to me that this letter is for me," he reason out. Blue secretly raised her brow before she nodded.

"Have you read this?" her father asked him with full curiosity in his eyes.

"No. Not yet, I thought it was for me, but I already forgot about it," she answered... white lies.

"Hmm, that was nice to hear because this letter is meant for me," he said and smirked devilishly before her father left her room.

From that, Blue knew that there was something in that letter. Her father won't take it from her and pretend that it was for him if that letter does not consist of something special... or a secret.

Blue was about to take the letter when her father left her room when----

Nicholas went outside that night to stroll in the forest when he passed Blues' room he heard some moans coming from inside, it was not a moan of pleasure but instead, it was a moan of someone who was having a nightmare.

He was hesitating to barge inside her room since he knew that she would get mad at him if he did it, but he just couldn't keep quiet and leave her like that.

Nicholas kicked the door to open it, and there he saw Blue was having a nightmare, and she was making those moans. He went to her to wake her up.

"Hey, hey, wake up! Your highness!," Nicholas said as he shook Blue to wake her up.

He tried to shake her again when she didn't open her eyes. If not for his friend Simeone, Nicholas won't know that vampires sleep at night.

"Ughh," Nicholas heard a small sound from Blue.

Blue's eyes widened when she saw him, "What are you doing here?" She asked him as she pushed him with some force that he flew over to the wall in her room.

Nicholas groaned as he endured the pain as he flew to the wall, " I was just passing when suddenly I heard you were moaning," He said as he got up. Nicholas didn't know that despite her weak character, she had this strength that was hidden inside her.

"You should've not entered my room without my permission," Blue said as she got up from her bed. "You may leave now," She said as she motioned him the way out of her room.

He was about to say something, but she cut him off. The man left her room while sighing in defeat.

Blue was left alone inside her room again, she fixed the door using her abilities since, she doesn't want to disturb the people inside the palace to fix her door because some madman barge inside her room and break it.

After she finished fixing it, Blue sat on her bed, it's always like this every night when she was having nightmares. She kept on dreaming about her past with her so-called father.

She misses Gustave, only he knows her pain, and he was the only person who was with her when Alec was making her suffer every day.

Though she wasn't blaming her real parents since she knew that Alec just got her away from them and replaced her with someone's dead child.

Sighing, she went and lay on her bed and made everything just to make herself sleep.

Somewhere...

"Mother, I'm back!" I said as soon as I reach the cave where we have been hiding for years, this cave can be found at the edge of their realm.

She was about to open the door when she hear a scream inside, she rushed to open the door and there she saw her mother who was laughing and crying at the same time.

"Why can't it be me? We had a daughter, but why do you still choose to abandon us?" Her mother shouted as she was crying and laughing at the same time.

The woman couldn't help but feel pity for her mother who lose herself in name of love.

She can't blame her. Her father left them like they were nothing to him but he choose to take care of someone's daughter, which she can't accept.

At first, she thought it was really her sister but now, she knew that they were not sisters, She could have those things she has now. and she should be the one who was living in the castle, why does it always be her who has to get all the things she wanted?

"Someday I'll take what's mine, including her family and everything," She whispered to herself as she comforts her mother who was now insanely crying and laughing at the same time.
