Chapter 30

1825 Words

Today marks a week since the attack, and we have more or less adjusted the new members into the Den. The only problem that remains now is the recovery of the injured ones. We should treat them back to health before we move to a different location; that's why I threw myself into the world of medicine and volunteered as the caretaker. Learning about medicines was complex, but they taught us through real-life practice. I quickly got the hang of it and presented as a good caretaker. "Are you tired, Elder?" the head nurse from the Den, Nancy, approached me when she saw me groggily nodding and asked me. Nancy is an outstanding nurse who has worked in the Den for decades. As there were many patients on the brink of death, we needed more hands to take care of them and more doctors to treat them.
