The Love Contract

Chapter 4

Bryan and Simone are sitting across from Kiara's desk. They both are wondering why are they there. Then Kiara looks at Bryan. "I need you to give me all the details about a contract marriage."

Simone smiles and nods her head. Then she looks at her husband.

Bryan is looking at Kiara confused. He rubs his chin. "I am guessing you already have someone in mind. Since you are asking me. Please don't say, Spencer"

"Yes, I do." Kiara smiles. "No, it's not Spencer.

"For starters, you will have to compensate him. Most of my clients give an allowance of three to four thousand a month. Credit cards, cars, and a set amount at the end of the contract. When they want kids with the woman they pay them an amount for the baby. The cost starts at around two hundred thousand to four hundred thousand a child. The basic contract is for a period of two years" Bryan looks at his wife and then back at Kiara.

"Kids?" Kiara closes her eyes and smiles.

Simone sits up closer to Kiara's desk. "K are you thinking about having kids with him?"

Kiara opens her eyes. "With him yes. But nobody else. Bryan, I want a contract drawn up. Two kids, at five hundred thousand each. But I want a four-year contract at, eight thousand a month. Also a car every two years, credit cards that are unlimited, and four million at the end of the contract. I get sole custody of the kids at the time the contract ends and the divorce is finalized." She looks at Bryan. "I don't plan on a divorce. Hopefully, by that time he will be in love with me." She is thinking

He is looking at her with his mouth wide open. Simone hits his arms.

"Oh, four years? Are you sure that is a long time?" He scratches his head.

"Yes, I am sure. I can't very well say a lifetime contract. I don't know his last name yet. But I will soon. Simone can you go with me to Bailey's tonight. I can't wait another day. That is if Bryan doesn't mind" She looks at her watch.

"No, you two go ahead. I have to admit I am blown away and confused as hell. I am looking forward to meeting whoever this man is. He sure as hell has your nose wide open" Bryan picks his briefcase up. "I will have it drawn up first thing in the morning."

"That evening"

When Kiara and Simone arrive at the restaurant they are looking around for Austin. Neither one of them sees him. When the hostess greets them.

"Excuse me, is Austin working tonight?" Kiara is still looking around for him

The woman looks at her and rolls her eyes. "Yes, he is. " She said dryly.

Simone looks at the woman thinking. "What is this bitch problem?"

"We would like a table that is in his section. For future reference don't roll your damn eyes at me again." Kiara looks at the hostess.

The woman didn't look at Kiara or Simone again as she shows them to their table.

"What was her problem?" Simone is looking at the woman walking away from them.

"I don't know but I was about to solve it for her." Kiara is looking at Austin walking toward them with two wine glasses in his hand. She smiles.

He smiles at her. He sits the glasses on the table. "Dum Mol Estate Russian Pinot Noir"

"Yes, thank you. I am flattered that you remembered." Kiara looks at the menu.

Austin and Simone both are looking at her.

She looks up at him, smiling. "I will have the Truffle Filet Mignon, baked potatoes, and the house organic salad with the house dressing."

"I will have the same" Simone smile

Austin takes their order and leaves.

"Are you going to ask him about the contract here?" Simone asks

"No" She takes out one of her business cards. She writes her cell phone number on the back of it.

"Damn I should ask her out" He is thinking as he takes their food over to the table.

"Austin I have a confession to make. I didn't come in here for the food. Here is my business card. Come to the address at ten tomorrow morning." Kiara holds the card out

Simone is eating but is looking back and forth between the two of them. They are looking at each other.

He takes the card, reading it. "I might not be able to make it." Austin slides it into his shirt pocket.

"It's' in your best interests to be there." Simone takes a sip of her wine.

Kiara didn't say anything. She starts eating. "Stay calm Kiara Prudence D'Amaritz." She is thinking.

Simone is trying to figure out what is the rest of Kiara's plan.

After they are done eating. Austin brings them their check.

Kiara hands him her credit card. "Damn he smells good" She whispers, looking at him walk away.

Simone laughs.

Austin hands her the credit card back. She gives him two hundred again as a tip. "Austin, don't forget tomorrow at ten." She whispers looking at him smiling.

Austin smiles. "I will do my best to be there."

"Believe me it would be in your best interests to be there." Simone nods her head at him.

"Goodnight Austin" Kiara smiles

He looks at her. "Goodnight Ara"

"Ara, I like that" She looks at him smiling as she is walking away from the table.

"Shit. Why I did call her Ara?" He is thinking

The next morning Kiara is looking over some reports. Her mind is not really on them. She is trying to be patient while waiting for Austin. "He can only say yes or no. But if he says no. Don't give up." She is thinking as she looks at her watch. It's 9:17. About that time her cellphone rings. She doesn't recognize the number.

"Phone conversation"

Kiara: Hello

Austin: Hi Kiara?

Kiara: Yes, this is she.

Austin: This is Austin

Kiara: Hi, how are you?

Austin: I'm good. How are you?

Kiara: I'm good also

Austin: I'm can't make it by ten

Kiara: Okay, Where are you now?

Austin: I'm at home

Kiara: If you text me your address. Michael, my driver can pick you up. If you are okay with it?

Austin: Sure, I'll text it to you. I'll be ready when he gets here.

Kiara: Okay, see you in a few.

"End of Call"

Kiara hangs the phone up, she stands up. She starts doing her happy dance. "He called that is a good sign. I think I will pick him up. I can't let him get away." She is thinking. She goes to her apartment that's on the floor above her office. She stays overnight in it sometimes. Kiara changes into a pair of light blue skinny jeans, a white sleeveless blouse, and pair of white flat thong sandals. Then she calls Simone

"Phone Conversation"

Simone: Hello

Kiara: Hi, he can't be here at ten. So I am going to pick him up.

Simone: Okay, then what are you going to do?

Kiara: Spend the day with him. Make my offer.

Simone: Go get your babies, daddy. (Laughs)

Kiara: I will let you know how it goes. (Laughing)

"End of call"

"Austin"

This morning when he woke up. His plan was to study for his finals for a few hours and then go to Kiara's office. But he woke up a little later than he had planned.

Tanner lights are off again. He had asked Austin if he can stay for a week. That he would have his lights on by that time But that was almost two months ago. He is still there. He had been listening to Austin's phone conversation with Kiara. "Who's Kiara?"

"She owns some hotels. Have you heard of her?" Austin is closing his laptop and picking his books up off the table.

"The only Kiara I heard of is this one right here." He pulls out a magazine showing the richest people in the world. Tanner hands Austin the magazine.

Austin looks at Kiara's picture. "Yes, that's her," He is walking into his bedroom. Tanner is following him into his bedroom.

"Wait a minute. Your dating this Kiara?" Tanner is pointing at Kiara's picture

"Yes, I am. Why is the page folded?" Austin said he was dating her because he didn't like the way Tanner is drooling over her picture.

Tanner laughs. "Your ass has been studying too much. You have been smoking some wacky weed." He never said why the page is folded.

Austin points to the bedroom door. " I have to get dressed. Michael, her driver is picking me up soon."

Tanner is still laughing as he walks into the living room. "I am going to make you look like a jackass." He takes his cellphone out of his pocket.

After Austin has showered and dressed he walks back into the living room. It's about fifteen people there. All of them are Tanner's deadbeat friends. Tanner had called them over.

Beau has never liked Austin. Because Shelly, his girlfriend has a crush on Austin. "So Austin, Tanner said you think you're going out with Kiara."

Austin is trying to contain himself. "Yes, I am. Not that it's any of your business. I'm not in the mood for any of you today. Why are you all here anyway? I don't remember inviting any of you here."

"We're leaving in a few minutes. We just came over to play a game with Tanner." Donny winks at Beau laughing.

"I am not going to let these assholes get to me today. Tomorrow I will put Tanner's ass out of here. I will not be bothered with him or his damn freeloading friends anymore." Austin is thinking when his cellphone beeps. He sees that it's a text from Kiara.

"Text"

Kiara: I decided to pick you up. I hope you don't mind. I'm on the way to your door.

Austin: No I don't mind at all

"End of text"

"Damn I never expected Kiara to come herself." He is thinking as he opens the door for her.

Tanner and his friends are still laughing. Until Kiara steps through the door. Everyone is now staring at her and Austin. He and Kiara hug for a second.

"Everyone this is Kiara" He looks around the room at everyone. They are looking at the two of them in disbelief.

"Hi everyone." She smiles

Austin points at Tanner "The one sitting with his mouth wide open is Tanner. My temporary roommate. These are his friends."

"Hi, Tanner" she glances over at him. Then her attention goes to Austin

Tanner waves, his mouth is wide open

"Are you up for a trip?" She's looking at taking in the scent of his sexy cologne

"Yes sure. Where?" He looks at her a little confused

"San Francisco. It's a restaurant there that serves really good seafood." She smiles

"Sure, count me in." He takes her hand, leading her out the door.

"It was nice meeting all of you." She's closing the door.

As soon as the door is closed they hear a lot of screams and barking.

She laughs, looking at the door

He also looking at the door. "I'm sorry about that."

"It's okay, I get that reaction a lot. Besides the barking. That one is new." She is still laughing as they walk to her car.

Michael glances at Austin through the rearview mirror. He smiles and nods his head.

"So Austin tell me about yourself" She turns toward him, giving him all of her attention

Austin tells her that he is in law school. That he wants to start his own firm. Michael is also listening to him. He has to make sure that Austin is the right man for Kiara. Especially since she talked to him about a contract marriage with Austin. He never did like Spencer.

Once they are in the air. Lacy walks over to Kiara. "Would you all like anything to drink or to eat?"

"Bring me a white chocolate cappuccino for me? Austin would you like anything?" Kiara asks

"I will have the same." He is looking around the plane. He sees her in a picture with an older man and woman. He assumes that they are her parents. "I wonder why she wants to see me this morning. I will let her tell me when she is ready" He is thinking. But he is anxious to find out.

She smiles at him "I'm sure you're wondering why I wanted to see you this morning."

"Yes, I am." He said looking at her a little confused

"First, I would like to know why did you turn me down the other night? I could see that you were interested in me. I saw that the night at the club." She sits down beside him.

Austin sits his cup down, still looking at her. "The night at the club. The guy that I was there with got drunk So I took him home. When I came back you had already left. That night at the restaurant I let Jason, one of the other waiters get to me. He told me who you were. That I didn't have anything to offer you"

She smiles. Because he came back to the club looking for her. "Trust me, you have a lot to offer me. Never listen to jerks." She shook her head. "I asked you out because I was attracted to you. Since that night at the club. I have also seen you riding your bike a few times. I wanted to get to know you better."

He smiles.

"Now, I have a business proposition for you. You can let me know your answer when we are on the way back this evening." She looks at him

"Okay, I'm all ears," he picks his cappuccino up looking at her.

"Austin, I want to marry you. Also, I would like to have two babies with you." She is still looking at him

"Say what now?" He asks sitting up straight in his seat and looking at her confused.

Kiara touches his arm. "Let me explain"

He nods, his head. But he is still looking at her confused.

"I want a contract marriage with you for four years. You would live with me. We would do everything a married couple does." Kiara is looking at his expression. He is still confused.

"Can you explain that part to me?" He asks looking at Kiara. But he sits back in the seat.

Kiara smiles. "Sleep together, sex, everything. We would be legally married. You can't date or be with anyone else during the time of our contract. If you do you forfeit the money and I will divorce you."

"What about you?" He points at her

"No, I can't either. That wouldn't be a problem for me. But if that did happen, then you would still be entitled to all the money and benefits." She looks at him

"Okay." He looks at her.

"The benefits are that I will pay your school tuition, including paying your student loans off. You will get a monthly allowance of eight thousand dollars. Then four million dollars at the end of the contract. You will also have credit cards, a clothing alliance, and a car of your choice every two years. Also five hundred thousand for each child that we have. At the end of the contract, I will get sole custody of the kids. You can't tell anyone about it being a contract marriage. Besides us, three other people will know. That is Simone, Michael, and Bryan he's the lawyer that will draw up the contract. He is also Simone's husband

Austin smiles. "If I'm in the mood for you know?" He winks at her while pointing at the lower part of her body with his head.

"Yes, I know." The answer is yes." She chuckles

Austin sits up looking at her "You would ?"

"Yes, I would. Remember I would be your wife in every aspect. Like you would be my husband. You can't work at the restaurant anymore. You can focus on law school full time." She takes a sip of her cappuccino.

Austin rubs his chin, nodding his head. "If I agree to this. When would I have to move in?"

"The same day that you agree. We will sign the contract that day or the day after." She looks out of the plane window. "I hope this means yes." She is thinking.

"But I still have six months left on the lease on my apartment." He shakes his head

"Then I will buy you out of your lease. The wedding will be the day after we sign the contract. No sex before the wedding" She looks back at him.

Austin is curious. "How many more have you asked?"

"You're the only one. We are about to land. Let's enjoy today. On the way back home you can give me your answer." Kiara smiles. But now she is a little worried about his answer.
