(Jyles) I watched as my little sister falls asleep in my arms as I purred. When her breathing and heartbeat evened out, I took out my phone and dialed my mate, Ashley’s number. “Hey baby, how is Jousett doing?” my mate asked. “She’s sleeping again. She was rejected by her mate” I told Ashley. “What? By who?” she asked. “I don’t know who. She just said he was an Alpha” I told her. “You want me to find out who is it?” she asked. “Yes, my love. I want you to find out ho was dumb enough to reject my sister” I said. “I’m on it baby. Just keep me up dated on how Jou is doing” she said. “I will babe” I said. “I love you I’m going to get on it now” she said. “I love you too, thank you baby” I said and hung up the phone. I looked down at my sister to see a tear stream down her face even in her sleep. ‘Moon Goddess, only you know why you mated her to this Alpha, but as you saw he rejected her. Please give her someone that will love her for her’ I said in my head as I gently wiped my sister’s cheek. I gently laid her on the bed and covered her before I went out to the living room and ordered some Chinese food. I looked around the house making sure that everything was good and that she didn’t need everything. All the bills were paid and the fridge was full. She’s always been very responsible especially after mom and dad were killed. I turned on the tv and put on forty eight hours which is something that she watches sometimes. When the Chinese food arrived I unpacked It and pulled the coffee table closer, got us some drinks then went to go wake my sister up. I gently shake her shoulder. “Little moon, wake up. I got us some Chinese. You need to eat” I tell her. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and I could see in her eyes she was still in pain. I helped her up and to the living room. “I got your favorite, pork fried rice with pepper steak, egg roll, and boneless ribs” I told her getting a small smile from her. She sits down on the sofa and begins to eat slowly. “Are you still hurting?” I asked her my voice soft. “Not as much but the pain is still there” she says quietly as she rubs her chest. “I know you hate doctors but let me have one of our pack doctors check you out, please” I said. Ever since she was little, she’s hated doctors. I can see she’s about to refuse but then she gives me a small nod. I quickly took out my phone and called one of our doctors to come by. I give her the address and a little briefing of what had happened. “Do you want me to tell you a little about our pack and how a pack works while we wait for the doctor?” I asked her and she nods. "The pack’s territory feels both wild and majestic, a seamless blend of nature’s raw beauty and human craftsmanship. As you traverse the winding dirt road that leads into the heart of our lands, the first thing that catches your eye is the grand pack house - more mansion than simple shelter. Its towering stone walls are covered in ivy, and stained glass windows glint in the sunlight like jeweled eyes. The sprawling porch wraps around the front, with wooden pillars carved with intricate wolf motifs. From there, you can see the lush gardens that surround it - an oasis of carefully cultivated plants, vibrant flowers, and shaded pathways. The scent of blooming roses, lavender, and jasmine drifts on the breeze, mixing with the earthy aroma of the surrounding forest" I said and looked Jousett to see her a small smile on her lips. "Beyond the pack house, smaller houses are scattered across the landscape, each with their own character. Some are rustic cabins with logs weathered to a silvery gray, their gardens overflowing with vegetables and herbs - tomatoes, lettuce, basil, and thyme - carefully tended by pack members. Others are more modern, with sleek lines and large windows that reflect the sunlight, built for comfort and practicality. Their gardens are filled with wild berries, pumpkins, and corn, thriving in the fertile soil that the pack has worked tirelessly to nurture. The pack’s land is a testament to their harmony with nature. Fields of golden wheat and barley ripple in the breeze, swaying like waves in a sea of gold. The pack members are diligent farmers, tending to crops with a balance of respect and skill, ensuring the land remains bountiful year after year. You notice a few large barns and silos nearby, filled with harvests that will sustain the pack through colder months. It’s clear they have a deep connection to the earth, cultivating their food with care and dedication. Off to one side of the territory, a stunning lake stretches out like a mirror, its surface perfectly still and shimmering in the sunlight. The water is clear and cool, inviting for swimming or fishing. Tall reeds and water lilies border its edges, and in the distance, you spot a few wooden docks and small boats—tools for fishing and leisure. The lake is a central place for gathering, for moments of peace and reflection, and it’s often where pack members come together, especially during warm evenings when the sky turns fiery with sunset colors. Its tranquil surface contrasts with the wild energy of the forest surrounding it, embodying the pack’s balance of serenity and strength. Surrounding all of this is the dense, ancient forest - tall pines, oaks, and maples that shelter the land. The trees are thick and towering, providing cover and a sense of endless wilderness. The sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and distant howls fill the air, creating an atmosphere alive with primal energy. From your vantage point, the entire pack territory feels like a sacred space - one where the wild and the cultivated coexist harmoniously, a testament to the pack’s strength, unity, and respect for the land they call home" I said to see a genuine smile aside from the pain in her eyes. "Sounds very beautiful" Jousett smiled. "It is" I smiled and pulled her closer as she lay her head on my shoulder. I run my fingers through her hair as she eats a little more and look at the tv. I could tell that even though she's looking at the tv, she's not watching it. I feel a tear land on my shirt and I can smell the salt in her tears. "It's going to be okay, little moon. That Alpha made a huge mistake in rejecting you because he didn't know the incredible person. The man that gets to know you and sees how wonderful you are... will know the treasure that you are", I told her "Thank you, my night in shinning armor" she said and I could hear the pain in her voice which made my wolf whimper in my head. . I kissed the top of her head waiting for the Doctor to get here. ***
