Chapter 7

Cooper

I wake up, check the time and realize I need to hurry back to the academy. I hurry up and look for my clothes, get dressed so I can make it on time.

"Rae," I shout her name.

No answer.

I look around quickly, but she isn't anywhere.

I put my shoes on and head out.

I look around for another person, but there is no-one here. I open the door and there's a guard standing there.

Thank f*ck!

"Good morning. Can I help you?" he asks me.

"I'm looking for Rae," I say.

"Ah, Miss Thomas. She left," he tells me.

"Where did she go? Can you call her?" I ask.

"I can't call her, and I can not tell you where she is. It's for her safety. Just know that she is safe," he tells me.

What the f*ck. For her safety? It's not like I am going to harm her.

"Do you know when she will be back?" I ask him.

"She didn't say. She doesn't report to us," he tells me.

Whatever. I don't have time for this.

The sooner I return to the academy, the sooner I can get back to my Sweets.

"F*ck, I have to go. Can you give her a message for me?" I ask.

"Sure," he says.

"Tell her Cooper says he will see her soon," I tell him and he nods.

"Go it, will do," he tells me.

I thank him and head out. I do not feel great leaving and not saying goodbye, but I have no idea when she will be back.

I find a safe place to shift and I run.

Luckily, I make it with a couple of minutes to spare.

"Bro, you made it just in time. I am about to close the gates," Henry greets me at the entrance.

"How was it?" he asks me.

"Best f*cking night of my life," I tell him

"So, it was worth it?" he asks.

"Man, you have no f*king idea," I say and head for my room to shower and get dressed for the day.

Now more than ever, I am ready to get back home.

My morning is very busy.

I try to stay on task, finishing up reports and other paperwork I have to do, but I can not for the life of me concentrate.

I keep replaying my night.

I still feel like some of it is a blur.

We finally get a break for lunch and I meet up with the crew,

"Where have you been?" Ruby asks. I ignore her and head for my cousin, because I don't like the tone she just used.

"Yo, Paris was wild. You missed out on all the fun after you left," he tells me.

"Look at his face. He didn't miss out on anything. He took the baddest one home," Zane says, and he is not wrong. I didn't miss a damn thing. I was exactly where I wanted to be.

"Can we talk about something else? I didn't really have fun," Ruby says.

"Check these out," Henry tells me.

He hands me his phone, and there are pictures of me and Rae on there and some of just Rae.

She is literally a goddess.

She's so f*cking fine.

I click on all the pictures and videos she is in and send them all to myself.

Then I delete them all and even check his recently deleted and delete them from there before I hand him his phone back.

There's no way another man will have photos and videos of my mate.

"Yo, I got some things I need to handle with the head master. I will catch yall later," I say and head for the main offices.

My cousin catches up. He tells me how excited he is to go home.

"Me too. I want to see if there's any way we can get out of here faster," I say. He nods, agreeing with me.

"Mate" my wolf whines.

"Soon buddy, soon," I say

"Cooper, Maddox, wait up," I hear Ruby's voice shouting. I sigh, feeling frustrated.

I walk faster, acting like I can't hear her.

"Cooper, let's wait for her," my cousin says.

I ignore his a$$ too.

She runs faster until she gets next to us.

"Hey guys, I forget you two are Alphas and faster than everyone else." She is trying to catch her breath.

"A bunch of us are sneaking out tonight. You two down?" she asks.

"Hard pass," I say

"Why Coop? We should make the best out of these last couple of days. We will be out of here soon," she tells me.

"Don't call me Coop. My name is Cooper." I say.

"Ruby, stop being disrespectful. We are trying to get out of here sooner if possible. Instead of sneaking out, go pack your things, because I'm in charge of you so as soon as we can leave, we are out of here," My cousin looks down at her, and I can tell he is also feeling annoyed by her, but he has been tasked with taking care of her by his mom and he doesn't go against her, ever.

He also said before that he feels bad for her and sees her like an annoying relative and that is why everyone puts up with her, but she is doing the most right now.

Plus, I only like it when Rae calls me Coop.

Luckily she agrees an leaves us alone once we arrive to the offices.

"Cooper Dark Moon for the head master," I tell the secretary.

We wait in the lobby for 15 minutes before we are allowed in.

"Alpha Cooper, Alpha Maddox. What can I do for you?" he asks us as he gestures for us to sit.

"I won't beat around the bush. I found my mate, and I am ready to go home as soon as possible." I tell him.

He smiles. "That is great news. Did you find her here or on your night out?" he asks.

"I found her on my night out," I say.

"Perfect, what a lucky Alpha you are. Well, we already started the paperwork, so if you do not care to be a part of the cereomy and if you are ready, we can get Alpha Daniel on the phone and we can get you guys out of here and to his pack by tomorrow. You still get your diploma to prove that you have graduated from the best and hardest werewolf Academy in the world, but you also still need to go meet Alpha Daniel and talk to his pack like we had agreed. We are looking into expanding and we need all the recruits we can get. Even with taking a small pit stop there, you should be home a week earlier if all goes well, but you will have to return in a couple of weeks to talk to the new students arriving at the academy. I would have loved for you two to become professors here. Both of your packs will have marvelous leaders. I am quite happy about the Alphas graduating from the academy this year. Many packs will be blessed and run by great Alphas." he tells us.

We talk alll the details out and we shake hands and we head out.

"Hell f*cking yeah!" Maddox and I fist pump.

"I still can't believe Rae is your mate. It's crazy because that connection has been there this whole time. It's pretty scary," Maddox tells me.

I nod.

I am so f*cking anxious knowing that Rae is my mate.

I am upset that we didn't talk this morning.

I need to get to her asap.

"There's this girl I left behind too.

We had a connection, but I honestly have slept around so much that I hope she isnt my mate.

Maybe I should stop f*cking around so much," he says.

He shakes his head.

"Nah, who am I kidding? I am a h0e. I love to f*ck," he says.

"Well, hopefully your h0e ways won't ruin the relationship with your mate when you find her. Maybe don't f*ck women from your pack just incase," I tell him as we head back to our rooms so we can begin packing.

He sort of agrees, but I really don't care what he or anyone else does.

In the hallway on our way to our rooms, we run into our group.

We update them and they all decide they want to skip the ceremony and head out with us like we had planned before, so the gang will stay together a couple more weeks before everyone goes back home to their own lives.

I sit on my bed, my bags are packed. I thought I would feel bad leaving here, like it would be hard, but actually I feel relieved.

I am ready to be back home.

I want to see my mom and my dad.

My wolf also begins a mental list of what I need to do before we can get back to mate.

Visit Alpha Daniel's pack, talk to the youth group there, then go back home.

We also want to see if Turkey is still alive.
