Maddox's POV
"You did what?" I ask her again and she is just smiling at me.
"All it took was one matchstick towards the explosives" Zelda says and I just stood in the middle of my pack, with her in my arms and completely frozen.
I can feel all my pack member's eyes on me. I just stare into Zelda's eyes. She is smiling at me. I listen to her heartbeat and because of all the running she did, her heart is beating crazily fast.
"You really did that?" I ask her.
"I did. Nathan is probably still searching for me but I jumped on a vegetable truck and escaped" she says and I resume walking once again.
I reach the pack house and mindlink the pack doctor to come here. I make Zelda sit on the couch and Kelsie runs towards us. I sit beside Zelda and she is still smiling. I don't know why sh
