Chapter Sixteen

My phone started blazing higher under my pillow and I was way too lazy to get up or even turn around and answer it, so I just let the music play as I internally prayed for it to stop.

I mean I had the most beautiful dream ever, that Kate was here and we fixed things and were madly in love again. I smiled as I thought about how real it felt. It was like she was honestly here.. and funny enough I could still smell her fragrance...

The phone started ringing again and I suddenly felt a body behind me stuff their hand under my pillow and shut the phone..

I closed my eye, I did not bring a girl to my room did I? I promised myself never to bring a girl to my room.. like never... only Brooke has been and I swore she was the first and last one...

I felt hands pull me closer to the body behind me as they cuddled up to me comfortably and my mind was going all sort of crazy. I mean they just hang up my call, whoever the f**k was that who called and then now they were cuddling up to me.. what was going to be next? Them kissing me when I turn around and screaming "Morning beautiful.."

Like what the f**k!

I slowly turned around and when I saw her my heart started beating faster.. She smiled, "Morning beautiful...."

I furrowed my brows, "were you somehow quietly listening to my thoughts..."

She shook her head no. I smiled, "you are really here.. I wasn't dreaming..."

She smiled, "I am here.. I felt like I was dreaming too before I opened my eyes.. but when I did and saw you here.. I was just thrilled and happy..."

"So we good?" I stupidly asked and she shrugged, "I mean I don't know... I think so..."

"I don't know either..."

She rested her hand on my cheek and moved closer, "maybe this will help you..."

Oh f**k she was about to kiss me. In the morning.. now.. no.. God...

"Kat I have morning breath...."

She connected our lips, "me too..." and then pulled away..

I smiled and hugged her, "I'm so glad you are here..."

"Me too... so what time do we wake up..."

I pulled away from her and looked around, the window indicated that it was morning already. The sun was blazing through it coming straight to us. I smiled at her, "babe...."

"I could use with waking up like this...."

I laughed and sat up.. "how about this?"

I asked and before she could register what was going on I pulled the blankets of off her and ran to the bathroom.

"I hate you..." She yelled from the bedroom and I rolled my eyes as I jumped into the shower, "tell me something I don't know idiot..."

I heard her laugh and I swear to God it was the most beautiful sound ever. I hated how soppy I was becoming. Weak, soppy and loving.. that s**t always got one hurt. People will realize how much you love them and they'll start doing s**t and taking you for granted... they'll distance themselves from you knowing that you'll suffer alone. They come into your life, beg you to love them and right when you do, they fucken leave with your heart and you are left there with a painful empty hole instead of your heart..

I shook my head, trying by all means to remove those thoughts in my head. It was terrified at how strong my feelings for Kat were getting, it was truly terrifying.

The bathroom door opened and I opened the shower door a little, "came to join me...?"

She laughed before sitting on the toilet seat, "wouldn't you love that.. but shame no, I just wanna take s**t, you did feed me something I don't know last night."

I laughed, "baby that was just spaghetti..."

I started laughing thinking about last night. She had one spoon and started complaining about how different it tasted, of course I told her they used different spices than back in South Africa but my girlfriend was so stubborn that I fed her poison..

"Spaghetti my foot.... you wanna kill me I know that now..."

I scratched my back with the sponge, "baby if I kill you now which old person will I comfortably say 'baby' to?"

I caught her shaking her head, "I don't know.. Anyone but me... oh yea and I love it when you call me that.."

"It's the only way you actually feel younger.. I understand... the struggle to feel younger is so much..."

I heard her flush the toilet and finally got out of the shower when she opened the bathroom door and went back to my bedroom, "and I actually thought you'd join me in the shower so that we would have wild, hot, steamy, amazing sex..."

She scoffed, "says a coward who refused to have s*x with me last night..."

I walked in and found that the bed was already made. I went to her naked and kissed her cheek, "you are an Angel Katherine..."

She kept quiet and I walked to my closet, "you really are trust me.. you keep on like this and I'll consider marrying you..."

She still kept quiet.. I.rolled my eyes,"Umhh baby I was thinking I should take you to time square and show you New York a bit..."

Silence...

"Baby what do you think?" I asked taking out my denim shorts and a tank top.

When she didn't respond I turned and found her just staring at me in admiration.

"Baby are you okay? Did you hear what I said?"

Her eyes darted from my body to my eyes, "Yea I'm okay...."

"Are you sure?" I asked again and she nodded still seeming a bit distracted, "yah.. yah..."

I applied lotion on my body and nodded, "okay... sooo?"

"I think Umhh.. time square sounds amazing..." She said getting up, "I should go bath..."

Okay she was totally acting weird. But I brushed that off and went to the kitchen. If I wanted her to feel energized for the plans I have today I needed to make her her favorite coffee...

I boiled water and took out Jacob's coffee... put two mugs here and waited patiently for the water to finish boiling.

I remembered that my phone was ringing and I didn't even check who it was. I went to my bedroom and took it, then heard the shower water still running. I opened the bathroom door and popped my head in, "baby I'm in the kitchen.. and I have a surprise for you..."

"Okay... I'm getting out..."

I smiled totally getting images of her sexy naked ass, "okay.. get out now while I'm still here..."

"Umhh... yea... not yet..." She said a bit hesitantly...

Now I was starting to worry a bit, did I do or say something wrong..

"Baby... are you sure you are okay?"

"I am sure babe..."

Even if she was lying I couldn't tell coz she was still inside the shower. I sighed and closed the door Making my way back to the kitchen.

The water was alright already. I smiled as I mixed coffee.. s**t this was going to be amazing.

She joined me after I finished toasting bread.

She sat on the chair by the table and I went there with her coffee and two slices of bread, "courtesy of mwaa.. don't ask how I made that... but I fucken poisoned your soul here.. believe me I did...."

She smiled and took a sip on her coffee and then she looked at me weirdly. I winked and went to get my food then joined her.

She looked hot, she was wearing a blue and white summer dress. She looked cute..

She took a bite on her bread and then a sip on her coffee then looked at me, "God Thandy this tastes amazing... what..."

I lifted my index finger up and put it on her lips shutting her up, "a.ah... I said no asking... just enjoy..."

"This is amazing...."

I smiled, "the secret ingredient is love..."

And I got up to put my dishes in the washer. She did the same too and hugged me from behind, "you are an Angel..."

I turned around, "you look so beautiful...."

She kissed my lips, "I love this... us here.. I love it..."

I turned back around and switched on the dishwasher...then smiled to my self coz I loved this so much more.. I looked at her and said, "Me too..."

"Oh God everything I have seen so far is just amazing.. I wonder why I never thought about coming to Hollywood..." Katherine said as we made our way to the restaurant. I know she was hungry coz we have been walking for like three hour and she kept up with the busy streets of New York city.. It was like she just blended in.. It wasn't a hustle.. I loved every moment if it.

"Baby I just wanna eat and drink something... we been walking for long.. and yea yeah New York is amazing, but the person I walked these streets with today is more than that.."

She blushed as I opened a chair for her and she sat down, "God you are awfully making me feel things now..."

Did I hear her right? Did she say I was making her feel things?

"What?" She asked looking at me and my smiled grew wider. I removed the straw of hair that was on her face and placed it behind her ear, "you look beautiful..."

She blushed and looked away, "okay... enough of being this please.. I need to feel okay..."

I laughed, "I can't help it...you just take this out of me.. like I can't stop myself."

She shook her head and looked at the menu, "can I get you drunk... I promise I won't force you to have s*x with me no matter how much you make me horny..."

"Baby I'm sorry about last night..."

She shrugged, "It's okay... I mean I kiss you and get fucken horny and then you stop me from going on.. that's amazing."

I held her hand, "baby... I am sorry..."

"I'll have wine... red wine.. looks amazing..." She said totally ignoring me. I looked at her as she called the waiter and ordered wine.

When the bottle arrived I opened it and poured for us, then gulped the whole thing. She looked at me amused and I sighed, I'm probably embarrassing myself or doing what she doesn't approve of, "what?"

She shrugged, "just a little weird that you and Chloe don't have alcohol at all in your apartment.. or did she take it all out when she knew I was coming..."

I shook my head, "we promised to be freaky outside the place.. so no alcohol in there, no smoking and no nothing..."

"You smoke?"

I shook my head, "not anymore.. I used to..."

"Me too.. Back when I was 24..."

I laughed, "God I wasn't even born yet...."

She laughed too and then kept quiet, then looked at me, "is it me or people have been looking at us a bit.. like more than they should..."

"ohh they probably notice me... I was on Glee.. last season's eight episodes..."

Her eyes shot wide open, "you were on Glee? That teen singing show? Where Demi lovato was on..."

"Oh f**k you are a 16 year-old hiding in a granny's body...."

"f**k you... Mike loves that show..."

I rolled my eyes, "of course he does...I mean duuh I was there.."

She laughed, "Oh, okay these people probably think I am your step mom then..."

I looked at her and she had this weird look on her face. I couldn't read it but I hated it. I pulled her by her chin and then connected my lips with hers. She blushed and looked around. People were smiling at us...

"God Thandy... why did you do that..."

I shrugged, "so they can get that you are my girlfriend and not my mother.. you are my girlfriend baby.."

She smiled and took a sip on her wine.. my phone started ringing.. I flashed it to her, "talking about Glee.. this is my manager..."

"Then answer it...."

I answered, "I hate staying home please tell me you have something for me...."

'okay for this we gotta talk face to face.. where are you?'

"Around New York, with my girlfriend....."

'Girlfriend?... you're gay.. and you have a girlfriend and I know nothing about that?'

"Umhh... I... am sorry...?"

She laughed, "God okay... I'm about to walk past Lantarpe Restaurant and I so wanna tell this girlfriend of yours how to behave..."

"She and I are here.. get in... oh and good luck in telling her that...."

I hung up and my baby gave me a questioning look and I smiled, "get ready to be schooled girlfriend..."

And just then immediately Samantha hurried to us and she stopped and stared at us.

"Hey Sam... join us..." I said and the woman sat down. She smiled at us.. "Hey...."

"Sam this is my girlfriend Katherine... Baby this is my manager Samantha Carson...."

Sam smiled at Kat and then suddenly her eyes grew wider, "wait.... Katherine... as in thee Doctor Katherine Omarley..."

Kat and I looked at each other surprised and then looked back at the girl, "what?"

"Holly how... my family will not believe this trust me... they love your work very much and we debate a lot about your book back in Canada..."

Wait..

She said book right?

I mean....

She said Katherine's book... right? I'm not losing my mind...

I looked at my girlfriend, "what... Baby you have a book?"

She was all smiling and acting weird, she laughed a bit nervously, "Yea.. the one and only...."

"Holly Shit....." Sam said, "I love your book, it was amazing and it helped me a looooot... wait a minute... Dr Omarley... what the f**k are you doing with this i***t?" That question was asked pointing at me..

Okay okay... I wasn't an idiot... I mean I was going to make something of myself.. I might not be a doctor or haven't written an amazing book but I was me and great things were coming my way...right?

They ignored me and talked as if I wasn't even there... they talked about the book and about Kat and to be honest with you, listening to her talk about herself to someone else was very interesting and amazing.. it was like I was getting to know her better and better and this time, there was no filter since she wasn't trying to impress anyone...

As they were talking for about 20 minutes I finally budged in, "how on earth do you know all this Sam...?"

She smiled and blew me off, "I studied medicine because of my parents and came here to pursue what I'm doing now.. making your career a reality is my dream job... I love it... and talking about jobs... I got you something..."

I smiled excitedly, "give it to me... give it..."

Kat gave me a side eye and I winked at her.. naughty ass...

"Glee wants you back...."

"Thats great.. for how long..."

"They gave me a one year contract..."

"You are f*****g with me right?"

The woman shook her head and took a Brown envelope out, "I am not.. it's in here in black and white.. a whole year with them..."

"Oh my God this is great.. the WIL at school says I should have a one year contract with any company under my studies and I'll graduate.. God is seriously amazing..."

"What?" My baby asked and that's when I realized that I actually never told her about any of that because I was scared...

When I didn't answer she got up. I got up too, "baby... where are you going... we are not done yet..."

She shook her head, "let me give you guys space... I don't want to hear staff that's not meant for me..."

"Baby come on.. I don't have anything to hide from you.. you can know this..."

"Can I?" She asked and I nodded, she shook her head a bit, "I'll be outside.. just want to get some air...."

And just like that she left...

I turned back to Sam who ached her eyebrows at me, "you are f*****g thee Doctor Katherine Omarley asshole and you never told me about it?"

I smiled sadly, "hope I'll still be f*****g with her when we get out..."

We discussed the rest of the staff that was on the table and I was happy.. but not entirely happy because Kat wasn't...

We got up and paid then went out. Kat was standing next to a woman buying something. Sam asked me to take a picture of them and I did... then I hugged her from behind and kissed her ear, "I missed you while you were out here..."

She sighed, "you only talked for 15 minutes Thandy..."

I nodded, "we need to get home coz I wanna be with you alone..."

"As if you will have s*x with me... look I'm sorry to bust your bubble, I have to fly back home at least in 6 hours... I need to catch a plane..."

"Woah Katherine say what? We have this little misunderstanding and then you get on the first flight back home?"

"First things first.. this isn't some misunderstanding, you didn't tell me on purpose... secondly baby not everything is about you.. thirdly, an 8 year old kid just got his p***s cut off I need to be there to operate him... now.. can we go back home..."

Out of all that she said, I only heard that not everything is about me... I nodded and we got a taxi back to my apartment.. on our way she was on her phone already changing her flight to the first one that was leaving... which happened to be in four hours...

When we got there she went to the bedroom and packed her staff then came back.. I was in the kitchen drinking an Appletiser..

"Hey..." She said and I didn't even bother to turn around.

"Baby..."

"What happened to the boy?"

"What?" She asked confused..

"What happened to his p***s?"

"Oh... it got chopped off while he was playing.."

"Oh?" I nodded..

"look babe... I hate leaving like...."

"Will he be okay?" I asked and she sighed, "can we not talk about him... Thandy I am leaving...so I need to talk about you..."

"Oh now you wanna talk about me? Well forgive me for trying not to make everything about me...."

Oh God, little did I know how stupid that move was..

"What did you just say?"

I kept quiet...

She said calmly "You know I didn't meant it like that.. but it's okay..! I will leave..."

Fuck!

I sighed, "Kat..."

"No...."

"Can I at least take you to the airport..."

She shook her head, "no.... I know where it is..." and I sighed, "Babe...."

She ignored me and held her bags close to her. She took a step closer and pecked my lips...

"I'll call you when I land..."

"Kat please... let's..."

She walked to the door and opened it, turned around then said,

"I didn't mean it like that...I'll call you when I'm home.."
