Chapter Seventeen

"Cut... Cut... Cut...." the director yelled for the third time... what the hell is going on?"

We were doing my kissing scene now, and the ice Princess was being her usual bitchy self...not 'comfortable with kissing me'

I mean yesterday after a few scenes we did talk about the kiss and she said she doesn't kiss girls but because I'm clean she will settle for me.... I know right... Insane..

I shook my head looking at the director, "talk to her... I can't be here tomorrow.. I have a flight back to South Africa so I can bring my family for graduations..."

The woman nodded and turned to the ice Princess, "Susan.... you know you have to do this right.... so can you drink water and come on set...."

Susan looked at me with those icy eyes and I held my shoulders and pretended to be terrified coz of the stupid look.. the production laughed. The girl finally came on set after drinking water...

The producer smiled, "you guys would make a good married couple. We totally should make you marry... Now, this is your first kiss... sparks have to be in the air, as much as it is going to be a surprise, I want it meaningful and showing the connection between you two... you are best friends for Goodness sake, you have that connection.. now do this..."

I sighed and looked at the girl in front of me, "listen I don't like Susan but I love Bridgette... now, will you please put your Bridgette face on so I can be in love...."

The production laughed at me again and the girl sighed, "fineeee..."

My sense of humor is probably what kept me here and what made them want me back, I always managed to make them laugh with my stupid jokes even for a few seconds..

"AND.... ACTION!...."

I watched as Bridgette walked down the hallway of the school looking a bit distraught, I was standing by a near corner waiting for her as we planned. She took out her phone and tried to dial someone but quickly hung up, she stopped walking when she reached her locker room and opened the thing. Then she lost it. I saw her bang the door and hide her face in her hands..

I was tempted to go to her but I didn't. She wiped away her tears and closed the locker, took her phone and put it on her ear, 'you know what I don't care, you can do whatever you wanna do and screws whoever you wanna screw.. I am done with you...' then she angrily hung up.

She looked around to see if there's anyone who saw her but when she realized that she was alone, she straightened herself up and then started walking like the princess that she was...

She slowly approached me and I hid around the corner. As soon as she showed up I lifted my hands up and made a roaring sound... "grrrr"

She gasped as she got frightened a bit but rolled her eyes when she realized that it was me, "what the hell dude...."

I rested my hand over her shoulder, "we need to go out today..."

She shook her head sadly, "not happening... I don't feel like being in front of a crowd now.."

"What's wrong?" I asked as expected.. but the honest truth is I already knew that her character boyfriend was cheating on her since I saw him kiss another character..

"Austin is cheating..." She said tirelessly and I pulled her to a nearby classroom. I closed the door behind us as I let my 'best friend' cry on my shoulder.

"It's going to be okay Bridgette... you deserve much better than him anyways" I tried to console the girl and she pulled away, "but why can't he love me the way I love him? Why? Is there something wrong with me?"

I shrugged and smiled thinking, that happens a lot, "well we do turn to fall for people who don't love us that way...but it doesn't mean we need fixing.. it means there's someone out there who's better for us..."

She rolled her eyes, "who? Brat Pitt?"

I laughed, "you have cut him out... just someone else who really loves you and would do anything for you..." I said that meaning it coz I was in love with her but scared of ruining our friendship.

She shook her head, "I don't ask for much, I just need someone who'll love me for who I am, respond to my texts, check up on me, take me out occasionally, make me laugh, loyal, tell me he loves me and support my dreams... nothing more, I'm not asking for them to be perfect, they need to love me..and actually put effort..."

I laughed, "to me, sounds like what you need is a girlfriend"

She laughed and shoved me off playfully. Then looked at me, "you are an idiot.. and you always know what to say to make me laugh.."

I smiled and wiped away her tears, "It's okay Bree, just be open minded, you'd find that someone who really loves you has always been with you but you are so focused on Austin that you shut everyone out..."

She made a disgusted face, "who? Marcus? Eww no, he is probably gay..."

I laughed as she mentioned one of our guy friends as an option, I mean I was right here and she didn't see that. It hurt a bit but I wasn't as showing too.

I sighed, I needed to do something and quick.

"Maybe I should just give up on love," she said, "maybe I am not meant to be loved..." She said the second sentence sitting on a table, I went to her and stood in front her. I took her hands in mine.. God them hands fit so perfect together...

"Don't... there's someone out there who is dying to be with you.."

"Who? Matt Damon?"

I stared at her for a few seconds and she looked at me weirdly, I mean of course I expected that reaction, then I whispered, "you'll find someone..."

She rolled her eyes, "when? When I'm 49 and wrinkled and....."

Before she could continue, as expected I connected my lips with hers.. She froze immediately, but I let go of her hands and put mine behind her head then started deepening the kiss..

She was stunned and shocked at first but she responded and kissed me back. Her hands were in the air like the producer said but they fell and she held my jacket and pulled my body towards her..

but she kept on kissing me... I removed my hands behind her head and held her hands trying to remove them from my jacket..

I finally managed to pull away, "they said cut..."

She smirked at me, "Oh sorry... I didn't hear that..." then she turned and faced everyone, "enjoyed the extra show?"

"Only if you enjoyed it...." the director said and we all laughed.

"Okay guys, we are done for today.. but we have drinks in an hour to bit farewell to Thandy.. this will be a dull two weeks without your crazy jokes...." out director said and I hugged the woman, "awww Steph... I'll miss you guys too..."

I took that gap in between now and the tiny party later to Skype my girl who was about to start working in six hours.. I went to my trailer and locked myself in, then threw myself on the tiny bed that was in here.

"Babyyyyyyyy...." She said sitting in her bed and I laughed, "are you sure you are forty nine years old babe?"
