Chapter Nineteen

I heard her fiddle with something on the other side of the door. I peaked through the small whole trying to see what she was doing and I realized she was going through her bag.

And just then she held out a key.

"If you don't want me calling the cops leave!" I shouted from the other side..

"Why would you do that? Just let me in so I Can just do what I'm here for and leave.."

"Look I don't know you and you don't know me, why don't you simply leave, for all we know you could be a thief.." I said and she held the door and pushed it. I only allowed it to open a little bit, my heart was beating so fast threatening to escape on it's original place..

"A thief? I am not a thief, I am Katherine's wife...."

I rolled my eyes, there, that word again...

I shrugged, and tried to stay as calm as possible.. "You could be lying..."

She tried to push her way in and I pushed the door and closed it then locked it this time. My whole body was shaking.

She fiddled again and I peaked through the same hole, she took out her phone and said, "you know what? I'll call her and she'll tell you who I am..."

She put it in her ear and then said, "Katherine what the hell is going on, I come to our place and a kid who is practically naked opens the door for me.. and why aren't you answering your phone!" And then removed it frustratedly after a few seconds...

I smiled, "you know she's is busy saving lives right..."

She ignored me but looked at the door, "Okay I'll call the landline..."

"Who will answer it?" I asked turning my head back and looking at the landline that soon started ringing. I looked back outside and she said, "do you hear that... it's me.. let me in..."

"That could be anyone..."

God she was getting frustrated by a minute, "well answer the darn phone...would you.."

I shook my head as if she could see me, "nope.. If I leave this door unattended you'll force your way in...you tried that and thieves do that."

She sighed, "I won't.. just go answer it...."

"Not A chance..." I said calmly and I could tell I was getting under her skin. She took out the key again, "this is my key to this place, I used to stay here... can you....

"Like I said, I don't know who you are and I don't know me so please don't..."

"What are you? A p********e?" She said and my heart sank, I turned away from the door, leaning on it with my back and slowly slid down until I was sitting on the floor...

Is that how everyone sees or will see me? As someone who is after Katherine's money in exchange for s*x?

If my relationship with my girlfriend got out was I going to be viewed the way Simone is viewing me?

I heard her fiddle again but had no energy to get up and see what she was doing. The energy I had was sucked in by what she said and it drained me.

I was startled by something slide under the door. I moved a bit and saw a piece of paper there. I took the paper and it was folded once, it was written "KATTY" in capital letters outside. I scoffed mentally, the pat name sounded like a cat's name...

I looked at the letter, contemplating whether or not to open it, but I sighed and took it with me when I got up then put it at the table.

I took one bottle of whiskey and went up stairs with it, in the room I slept in back then before we dated.

Believe me I started drinking from the bottle. When I had like half of it and was starting to feel very f****d up, my phone started ringing and it was my girlfriend.. I looked at the phone until it went off..

God, this isn't how I imagined this, I wasn't supposed to be drinking now. I should have been sleeping and getting ready for tomorrow because my girlfriend was coming home in the morning..

She called again and I sighed, "Baby...."

"Hey... how are you?"

"Good.. I don't know maybe.. you?" I mumbled staff that didn't make sense.

"Babe are you okay?"

I nodded..

"Babe..."

"Yeaaa I will be..." I slurred a bit and she asked, "Thandy? Are you drunk?"

I shook my head and then a hiccup came, "I swear I didn't drink too much... I'm okay.. It was just a bit... I'm sorry...."

"Oh God, are you drunk?"

And I stupidly started crying, "I'm sorry babe... I..."

"Hey hey hey.... calm down don't cry.... Babe... it's okay... what happened.. where are you?"

"She was just here and she called me names...and then I couldn't stop drinking.. She was mean to me..."

She sighed coz I wasn't making any sense at all, "Baby who is that? Where are you?"

I sobbed, "here... I'm here..."

"Here where? Is Chloe with you?"

I shook my head I felt so dizzy and then suddenly I felt the edge to vomit hit me..

"Thandy where are you and where is Chloe?" She asked again a bit sternly this time, and I shook my head.

'Dr Omarley... you have to go to the OR immediately...' a female voice said on my girlfriend's side..

"I'm a bit...."

'Mr Corey is having a seizure....they need you as in yesterday in there...' the girl said and my girlfriend suddenly said, "fuck.... baby I have to go..."

"I love you Dr Omarley..."

"You're drunk .. I love you and I'm worried about you..."

Then I hung up.. after a few minutes my phone rang.. I didn't even look at the caller ID I just answered, "I hate her...."

"Who? What happened? Is everything okay?"

"Firstly she says... the f work on me.. and then she starts talking to me like I'm trash and she calls me a prostitute... am I a p********e?"

"What? Thandy who are you talking about and no you are not a prostitute..."

I laughed a bit amused, "she doesn't know who I am... She has no idea and she thinks I'm exchanging s*x for money with Kat..."

"Thandy concentrate.. Who said that.. Who?" Bianca asked..

"She even called her her wife, isn't she the ungrateful ex girlfriend.. coming here and calling me a p********e? Do I look like I exchange s*x for money?"

"Simone was there? God... Look, you are not that, you are not any of that, you love Katherine so much.. don't listen to that one, she thinks she's God..."

I don't know what the f**k was wrong with me but I started crying again. My body was shaking and I realized that I was still shaken by this. When she tried to open the door by force I thought I was going to die.

"Thandy should I tell Kat to come home?"

I shook my head, "no... I'm okay... I just... I need to sleep... call me in the morning...."

"What time..."

"When she's on her way here..."

"Okay, promise me you'll sleep and please don't drink further... or else you'll have hangover tomorrow and we don't want that.. tomorrow is your sixth month celebration, Please don't overdo alcohol coz you'll oversleep.. She pleaded and I nodded and laid down...

"Thank you dude.. thanks..."

"Anything to put a smile on my boss's face...."

And then I hung up.

I looked at the bottle of whiskey next to me but, I extended my hand trying to take it but then Bianca's words hit me.. I shouldn't drink anymore.. tomorrow is a good day.. I slowly closed my eyes as I told myself that tomorrow is a good day....

Tomorrow...has to be a good day...

I was woken up by my phone blurring. I quickly got up and a headache struck me... I shut my eyes and held my face..

Fuck...

The phone kept quiet and then it rang again... I responded in a sleepy voice, "hey"

"You better be f*****g awake...coz Kat is on her way home and she isn't happy..."

"Why isn't she?" I asked sheepishly.

"Coz she called her girlfriend last night and she was talking gibrish coz she was drunk, and then she got a call from her ex saying there's a kid in her complex..."

Fuck...

"She called me last night?"

Bianca laughed, "I believe you don't remember me calling too..."

"Umhh...." I said and she sighed, "get up and freshen up okay, she's probably 30 minutes away coz she didn't buy my story when I said someone was lost there and ended up in her complex...."

I laughed, "you are the best... God I smell like alcohol, let me go bath.."

After hanging up I got up and fixed the bed, looked for headache pills and since this house belonged to a doctor it wasn't hard finding them, then I headed straight for a shower, I put on my lingerie and a gown on top. Then as I initially planned, I lit the candles on..

I made sure that the present in her bedroom is under the pillow. After double checking everything I got a call..

"Bianca..."

"She's coming there, the security just let her in......."

"Thanks babe..."

"Okay have fun... but not too much fun coz then babies come out when you do...."

I laughed, "we are making babies... bye babe"

"I'm not ready to be an aunt yet.... bye love."

Immediately after hanging up I heard the key downstairs. My heart was beating like hell.. nerves... nerves.. and the fact that she called and I was drunk so much I even forgot about it..

I was upstairs watching secretly...

The door slowly opened and it revealed a sexy Katherine in her jeans and blows with a bag. She was startled by the roses that shaped a 6 on the floor. She looked around and yelled, "hello.....?"

I smiled admiring her. There was a note inside the roses, she picked it up and read it, it was like I was hearing her. The note read, "SOMETIMES ACCIDENTS LEADS TO GREATER BEGINNINGS... THE START OF SOMETHING ONE NEVER WANTS TO FORGET... FOLLOW THE ROSES...."

She shook her head and smiled. Then followed the line of roses leading to the kitchen.. in there I put the number 2 and a note there too.. She took it and it read, "I LOVE THE NUMBER TWO, IT'S NOT ONLY FOR THE SPOONS OF COFFEE I DRINK, BUT ALSO YOU AND I.... IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE RIGHT? FOLLOW THE ROSES...."

She came in view and made her way upstairs. She was no longer holding her bag and she had this brightest smile in her face...

I couldn't help but smile too as she approached her bedroom,... I was in a room opposite it. She walked in and there was a number seven... She took the note on it and read it, "SEVEN WONDERFUL MONTHS OF KNOWONG AN ANGEL.. YOU ARE TRULY A THE ONLY PERSON I WANNA ANNOY..."

Then she looked on the bed and there were roses in a form of a heart and a letter inside it she opened in and I walked next to the door and peaked inside. She was reading the letter... this one read, "FROM THE FIRST DAY I SAW YOU I HAVE BEEN FALLING DEEPER AND DEEPER IN LOVE WITH YOU AND IT IS JUST AMAZING TO ACTUALLY SAY IT, I LOVE YOU KATHERINE OMARLEY... AND WITH THE HELP OF BIANCA, ALL THIS IS POSSIBLE.. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL BABE, NOW SLEEP WELL ❤?"

I watched as she wiped away tears in her face.. She laughed a but and then went to her pocket, she took out her phone and dialled me coz after a few seconds my phone started ringing. It wasn't on silent so it just rang out loud startling her. And by now.I was just standing there admiring her.

She quickly turned and looked at me then she shook her head, "No..."

I smiled and said nothing.

She closed her eyes and then.I took steps in that when she opened her eyes I was standing right in front of her. She shook her head again and said, "no!"

I nodded sitting next to her, "yes..."

She furrowed her brows, "but... how? And how did you manage to go past security and Mikey and...."

I leaned in as she rambled and did the only thing I have been thinking about doing. I connected our lips and luckily she stopped talking and kissed me back. I didn't stop, I immediately deepened the kiss and her hand quickly held my waist and pulled me closer.

She then pulled away and looked at me. I smiled, "Hi babe..."

She laughed, "Hi...God you are here and you are so beautiful..."

"I missed you so much Kat...." I whispered and she laughed, "God it's so good to see you...."

"How good is it?"

"Like really good...." She said seductively and I couldn't hold myself.
