I didn’t have much thought about it but I found myself parking in front of Jean’s house again. I’m not even sure if she’s here now but I just have to satisfy my curiosity. After all, it’s my birthday.
My phone rang. It was Gio and I immediately frowned. He’s been pestering me for days, asking when I will celebrate my birthday with them because they have already asked the owner of one of the clubs that we frequent for a VIP room. To chill, that’s what they said.
I sighed and answered the call.
“What?” I asked nonchalantly, eyes still fixed on the gate of Jean’s house.
He chuckled on the other line. I think he’s in the club now because I can hear loud music in his background. “Are you okay?” he asked me. “It’s your birthday, bro! We should celebrate!”
