Jaden’s POV
I had been bone tired on the way back to Black Adder. I don’t sleep well when I’m away from Melina. I just wanted to shower and sleep. After holding her, I got my second wind. Bridger popping up and looking at me, like he was claiming my mate, had caused me to move away from Melina. I was scared he was going to do something to her if we pushed him too far. But I’m done letting him have his way. He always seems to know when we are getting intimate, but I have a way around it now. One that I thought of on the way home.
Melina’s giggle as she headed up the stairs let me know that she was just as happy about this turn of events as I was. I had allowed that jerk to cause distance between us, but that ends tonight. I hope he gets an earful of what's about to happen. I
