Lexi POV
The weekend had been busy for Dane and me. My fiancé had people visiting the apartment. Dominic came the day after. Together with Atty. Benson, Atty. Cassini, who was said to be the partner of Atty. Benson, who handles criminal cases, and Erwin, who was hired to be the private investigator, discussed whatever needed to do to proceed with the investigation.
I busied myself in the kitchen preparing snacks and meals for them. The meeting lasted almost the whole day and finished in the afternoon. At times, Dane would call me to let me into the discussion and I was grateful that he wanted me to join in. He actually wanted me to have food delivered instead of cooking. However, I told him I needed to do something or else I would lose my mind thinking of Susan and me being put in jail.
