TIME STOOD STILL

Misa P.O.V. .................. Consequently, in the Red Claw pack. "We have not made it public knowledge that Misa is even in our pack. Therefore, someone had to leak the information. Anna admitted to it, so the way I see it was a mercy killing by our soon-to-be Luna. The actual punishment she would have received would have been worse. We need to move and start making plans if we have incoming." asserted Beta Ridge. "Your right! Let's move!" instructed Alpha Sebastian, as he mindlinked me, asking to put the gun away. I promised I would, but if his Delta even looked at me wrong, I wouldn't hesitate to kill him. Alpha Sebastian reassured me that Delta Thorn wouldn't be a problem. Delta Thorn just needed time to process everything. After that, Alpha Sebastian and Beta Ridge quickly placed me in a safe room with my Aunt Gail, the Delta mate Sophia, and two other daughters, April and Amanda, along with Alpha Sebastian's little sister Kristen. They are all older than me with their wolves. They were all giving me the evil eye, still upset about me killing Anna de Armas. I tried to tell him that it was a bad idea, but he kept trying to reassure me that I was overthinking it and everything would be fine. Besides, his beloved little sister promised to watch over me. He kissed my forehead and left. I knew he needed to focus in order to win against so many rogues. Therefore, I didn't push the issue. I just told him not to blame me if they tried to hurt me and I killed them instead. I think he heard me but didn't hear me. His mind was focused on protecting the pack. They were pretending to be so sweet and forgiving in front of them, but I saw through the act. Stormy has taught me well. I know fake people when I see them. As soon as Alpha Sebastian and Beta Ridge, the vibe completely changed, and their masks came off. Then, I quickly grabbed a chair and sat in a corner against the wall. It gave me a clear view of the entire safe room and all the inhabitants. Time seemed to move so slowly in that room. Next, I pulled my oversized hoodie over my head and placed my hands inside my hoodie to conceal my gun. I was locked and loaded waiting for these BITCHES to make a move on me. I noticed them mindlinking my Aunt Gail as I pretended to fall asleep. I heard my Aunt Gail quietly whimper a couple of times and then move to the other side of the room far away from me. It hurt a little that she chose a side that wasn't mind, but I get it. Sometimes blood isn't thicker than water. Better, I know now that I can't depend on her rather than later down the line. "She killed my sweet innocent baby and has the nerve to sleep peacefully, like she just didn't tear my heart out of my soul." snarled the Delta mate, Sophia. "She is heartless and cruel. She doesn't even have the decency to apologize to us." whined April. "I know she made up those lies about Anna de Armas. She would never do the lies she is being accused of. She was my best friend, I would have known. She shared everything with me. There is no way she sold out this pack. She loved this pack too much." voiced Kristen, looking at me with disgust. "I vote we kill her before they come back to check on us." said Amanda. "We can't kill her without it falling on all of us. What about we make it look like suicide?" replied Kristen. "No! They would ask why we didn't stop her and too many other questions." argued Sophia. "One of us is going to have to do it and take the fall for it. The rest of us will say it happened so fast, and we were too much in shock to react quick enough." suggested Amanda "Do you think they would believe us?" asked April. "Sure! But you ladies are forgetting two things in your plan for revenge." I said quietly with my eyes still closed, focusing on their individual heartbeats. "Which is?" demanded Kristen, sounding annoyed that I spoke up. "One, my friend Stormy Paris Beckington, has already promised to kill everything moving in this pack if a hair on my head is out of place, and she meant it. I would mindlink your Delta Thorn or Beta Ridge or Gamma Steadman or Alpha Sebastian to confirm. Secondly, I don't intend to be an easy kill, so your story of one of you killing me is going to have lots of holes in it. It's definitely going to require a team effort." I revealed in a mocking tone with a chuckle. "You have no wolf! Shut up!" growled April, upset. "Don't underestimate me! Or my connections!!!" I said calmly with a smirk. "Liar! Liar! You don't know her! You were in the woods eating berries to survive! I would know if you knew her!!" shouted Kristen, fuming. "I am not lying! I suggest you ask my Aunt Gail if I am lying, since Stormy will probably kill her first." I said, shaking my head and laughing as my Aunt Gail finally looked up at me with shame and fear in her eyes. Time seemed to stand still in that moment as I opened my eyes wide to meet her. I saw Kristen attempting to mindlink someone. "Stormy Paris Beckington was on the phone with the Alpha King, and Stormy acted like she was close to Misa. She did say that Misa had better stay safe in our pack or else." informed my Aunt Gail in almost a whisper. If you weren't a werewolf you wouldn't have heard her confirmation. "You are lying just to protect her. I don't believe you!" shouted April. "She not lying! You need to mindlink someone before you make an awful mistake." I urged with a smile. "Shut up!! I will kill her. Meanwhile, one of you cut the camera footage and erase everything. We don't want anything to prove we acted together to kill the Future Luna." ordered Sophia. I could tell that she was annoyed that I wasn't acting fearful. "Stop! Stop! Stop! She is telling the truth! Somehow, she does know Stormy, and Stormy did threaten to kill everyone in this pack if something happened to her." revealed Kristen. "Finally! Someone in this crew is acting like they have a little bit of brain cells!" I taunted with a smirk. "Fine, but this ain't over! You get a pass for now! But don't get too comfortable!! By the way, if you try to tell anyone what happened, they won't believe you. It's five against one. Who do you think they will believe the newcomer or us....we have history and bonds on our side. You are nothing but an outsider. " shouted an irritated April. I just started laughing and shaking my head at them. The more I laughed at them, the furious they became. A few hours later, we were released from the safe room. I let it be known that I no longer wanted to live with my Aunt Gail. I didn't trust her to protect me or advocate for me. She had shown me in that brief time span that I couldn't depend on her. Alpha Sebastian let me move into the Luna suite, which is on the same floor as his Alpha Suite. Also, I made it very clear that Aunt Gail, the Delta mate Sophia, and two other daughters, April and Amanda, along with Alpha Sebastian's little sister Kristen hadn't been nice to me during my stay in the safe room with them. They had threatened me. They lied and said I misunderstood their intentions. They believed them over me. Therefore, I made it clear to everyone that I wouldn't hesitate to kill the next person that looked at me wrong and moved like they had bad intentions. They could blame it on my PTSD. I spoke to Stormy, Rio, Nafessa and Aquaria later to confirm that I was fine and to touch base. I know Stormy is working on coming for me and I just have to stay strong. I am just frustrated with the fact my mate believes the lies over me. I know he has known them longer than me but still. They are painting me out to be some paranoid, delusional teenager that is seeing conspiracies where there are none. I spent the rest of the day settling into my new room and working with Donny to set up stuff to make sure I was safe till they could come for me. Author P.O.V. ..............................in Little Cambodia, located in the Bronx, New York. "Elder Kylian, I have a quick question for you? I know my father has tried many times before to break out of prison and was successful a few times only to be recaptured before he was able to get to me. My question is, do you recall him successfully escaping four years ago?" asked Stormy. "As a matter of fact, I do! If my memory serves me right, we found him outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was found covered in blood. He killed everyone on a human farm, the family, the livestock, the family pet, the hire hands. We had to grease the palms of a lot of humans in order to make what he did go away and not reveal our true identity to the humans. Why do you ask?" replied Elder Kylian. "Just looking at the broken pieces of my life and trying to make sense out of it. One last question, have you ever heard rumors about a hybrid child....half witch and half werewolf?" probed Stormy. "No! To my understanding, our DNAs are not compatible enough for that to ever happen? Why?" chuckled Elder Kylian in a dismissive tone. "Because I am looking at her right now, and she isn't a figment of my imagination." declared Stormy in a strong and firm tone. "I swear! Every time you call me you leave me speechless. You are making me grey before my time young lady. I ...I..I." uttered Elder Kylian before being cut off by Stormy. "How is Misa? Is everything safe?" demanded Stormy, quickly changing the subject, not wanting to reveal anything more. "For now, she is not very popular around here, but I am sure in time the animosity will go away." disclosed Elder Kylian. "Thanks! I will be in touch." conveyed Stormy, quickly ending the call.
