Chapter 4

1721 Words
My heart pounded as I saw them. The triplets looked fierce, as if they were ready to fight for me. Navian’s hazel eyes locked onto mine, and I felt butterflies flutter in my stomach when he smiled; a real smile. The kind that deepened the dimple on his cheek. But then, in a flash, his smile vanished, hardening into something dangerous. He strode toward me, his hands outstretched. Before I could react, his fingers clamped around my throat. Pain shot through me as I gasped, blinking rapidly, only for me to see Aya standing before me, her eyes filled with contempt. “Get yourself together, b***h! Why were you smiling at me like that?” Aya hissed, squeezing my throat tighter for a moment before letting go. I stumbled back, coughing, my chest burning. Blinking away the tears of pain, I glanced up in disbelief. My heart sank. It wasn’t the alpha triplets standing in front of me. Instead, it was my father, Madonna, and her daughters, their cruel eyes locked on me. What was wrong with me?How had I imagined them? “I don’t care about the Moon Goddess or your mates. You’ll stay here until I decide otherwise,” my father sneered, his gaze cold as he turned to Aya. “The only thing I’ll accept is Ethan marrying Aya,” he continued, his words hitting me like a punch to the gut. Aya’s smirk widened. “See? You can be mated to them all you want, but I still get my man!” she taunted, while Zoe stood next to her, eyes burning with hatred. **** I barely had time to process what was happening when I stepped out of the bathroom and saw the triplets. They moved in, shutting the door behind them with a deliberate click. I was stark naked. “You want us, don’t you?” Ethan’s voice was a low rasp against my ear, his breath sending a shiver down my spine. Navian moved closer, his intense gaze pinning me in place. A flicker of worry crossed my mind. The door wasn’t locked. But the thought slipped away as a deep, primal need stirred within me. My wolf growled in response, aching for their touch. I couldn’t explain why, but my body was betraying me, heat pooling low in my belly. The desire was overwhelming, making it impossible to ignore what I was feeling. "Ughh, I f*****g want you.." I moaned as I felt Ethan suddenly fondle my firm breasts while I took Navian’s c**k into my throat. It felt so good, and I didn't want it to end. My gaze landed on Miles, from the door, his eyes staring with so much admiration. "Join us, Miles. She is our mate after all," Ethan said, running his hands down my naked body until he reached my V, his fingers caressing it firmly. My body shivered. “Look who’s wet,” Navian giggled as Ethan pulled his fingers away, his hands glistening. Just as Miles took a couple of steps toward me, the door swung open. “Get up, you b***h!” I was jolted awake as water splashed on my face. Blinking, I saw my stepsister Zoe glaring at me, and it hit me that the vivid dream I’d just had was over. “You’re needed outside,” she said curtly before walking out, giving me one last suspicious look. I was still feeling the lingering effects of the dream, as if their touches were still fresh. My father’s words continued to echo in my head after meeting him outside. Today, I was moving in with the Alpha triplets. They were going to mark me soon, but it made no sense. They had always loathed me—why would they suddenly want me as their mate? Was this just another twisted form of punishment for my fate? The hours slipped by in a blur, and before I knew it, the clock ticked past two. I found myself led to the gleaming white car that would take me to the Pack House—the grand mansion that would now be my new home. As I settled into the Alpha's estate, the luxury around me was undeniable. “Isn’t it strange to be mated to three men? What is she?” one maid sneered, sizing me up from head to toe. “She’s just loose; how else could she handle being with different men at once?” another chimed in. Their harsh comments left me questioning why I was being judged for circumstances I couldn’t control. I wasn’t the Moon Goddess, nor had I chosen this path for myself. I was led to my new room, and I stood there in awe. It was stunning, decorated with everything I loved most. How did they know my tastes so well? Maybe Aya had told them, I thought. ‘Aren’t you happy, Marsai?’ Arai asked, her voice laced with concern. ‘At least we’re leaving that hellhole behind. We’re finally away from that witch, Madonna.’ I couldn’t help but giggle at Arai's anger. Part of me felt grateful to escape our old home, but another part of me worried this new chapter wouldn’t be any better. What if this was just the beginning of more torment? No sooner had I set my bags down than the door swung open, sending my heart racing. I turned around to face my worst nightmares: Ethan, Navian, and Miles. Miles flashed a smile that caught me off guard. “Hey, Marsai. We’re happy to have you here.” Happy? Did he really just say that? I wanted to scream at them as the walls of the room seemed to close in. My eyes darted to Ethan, and he, too, wore a wide grin that sent a chill down my spine. I stood there, stunned. Were they really going to accept me? “You should at least say something and stop staring at us like you’ve seen ghosts,” Navian blurted out, his expression shifting to one of irritation. “What the hell, Navian?” Ethan interjected, giving him a playful punch on the shoulder. Navian shrugged it off. I noticed a box in each of their hands, and It made me wonder what it was. As if reading my thoughts, Ethan stepped closer, holding out the box toward me. “Here, Marsai. This is your birthday gift. Sorry we couldn’t wish you a happy birthday earlier,” he said, glancing at his brothers before turning back to me. “We got a bit carried away with our party and totally forgot yours was the same day. Forgive us, Mate.” I swallowed hard. Stunned didn’t even begin to describe what I felt in that moment. Balling my fists, I snapped, “I’m not accepting that! Not after everything you’ve done to me!” My voice was sharp as I glared at their so-called gifts. “How do I know this isn’t just another one of your tricks? What if it’s a time bomb?” “Come on, Marsai…” Navian chuckled, rolling his eyes before forcing a smile that felt too fake. I had to admit, I found myself hating him the most out of the three. “We know we’ve done terrible things, and we genuinely regret it,” Navian continued, sincerity flickering in his eyes. “I promise I’ll make it up to you—I swear.” “Yeah, I mean..” Ethan chimed in, raking his hair with his hands. “We were just stupid. Your sisters played us. They said really shitty things about you, and we fell for it.” A wave of sadness washed over me. Was it true? Could they really be sincere? Doubt gnawed at me, and all I wanted was to flee from the room. “Mars!” “Mars?” I echoed back, taken aback by Miles using that name. He wiggled his eyebrows playfully, and for just a moment, a smile flickered across my face. It lasted just for two seconds, though. “Yeah, that’s your nickname. I’ll call you that from now on,” Miles said, striding over to my table and placing the three boxes down. I felt a flutter of excitement at the thought of opening them. This was the first time anyone had given me birthday gifts, and a tiny surge of happiness bloomed within me. Suddenly, a shrill voice pierced the air, slicing through my thoughts. “Do you think she’ll reject us? We really need her. She has the moon wolf.” It was Ethan. I turned to him, but his lips weren’t moving. Were they… mind-linking? And how could I hear them so clearly? Was this another gift from the moon wolf? “She won’t. We need to show her that we truly care about her. She’s our mate. You heard what Dad said—we have to keep her close, or our pack will practically crumble without her,” Miles said, and I felt a lump form in my throat. “Mars!” Navian called out, and this time, I saw his lips move. “We’ll leave you to rest now.Take care of yourself, pretty mate!” Miles nodded and walked toward him, then snapped his fingers in front of Navian’s face. “I’m the only one allowed to call her that!” I giggled, before Ethan finally shot me a wink and dragged his brothers out of the room. But one thought lingered in my mind: were they really accepting me as their mate for who I was , or was it all because of the moon wolf I possessed? ***** That evening, I decided to clear my head in the Alpha’s garden. However, the moment I stepped outside, I was hit with the familiar scents of the triplets. They were close by, and I hesitated, unsure if I should approach them. Suddenly, a chilling howl pierced the air, causing me to freeze in my tracks. It was an eerie sound, bone-chilling and sending shivers down my spine. Along with it came the stench of something rotten, putrid, and unmistakably dead. Driven by fear, I raced toward the source of the howl, only to find a wolf savagely tearing apart a girl. It wasn’t just any girl; it was Aya, my stepsister.
