“If she picks you, that’s fine. But I’m just making her know that she has better options.”
Liam glared at me. “You don’t even like the girl, what is your deal?” He asked, his breathing sharpening with irritation. “You just want to go out with her because you can’t stand seeing me have something of my own?”
I laughed. “She doesn’t belong to you. If she did, she wouldn’t be taking my calls or even kissing me.”
His jaw tightened. “You have no idea what you’re doing.”
I leaned my back against the counter, unfazed. “I know exactly what I’m doing and I know that she deserves someone better.”
“Someone better?” He asked with a bitter scoff.
I inclined my head gently. “Yes. And in case you don’t know, I’m the better choice,” I replied with a cocky grin
