"A woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy also deserves to experience unplanned joy." ~ Patricia Heaton Chapter Ten Davina couldn't take her eyes off Stefan. Not when he was shirtless drenched in sweat as he worked out in Maria's backyard at least. Davina had just gotten back with Maria and Alice from their little shopping spree this afternoon, they had gotten some clothes for the twins and even got two cribs for them that would be delivered to her penthouse later that evening. They were talking about how Alice spent most of her paycheck at Ulta and Gucci when Stefan had ran back into the backyard after his jog and started doing a workout. At first it wasn't distracting but then Davina had noticed that somewhere between the time he entered and she looked away to talk to the girls he had taken his shirt off and after that it seemed like nothing else could take Davina's attention away. Watching Stefan's muscles flex as he pushed his body up and down, the beads of sweat trailing down his body and disappearing underneath the hem of his basket ball short definitely made Davina's mind wonder how big his di— "Hello? Earth to Davina!?" Davina snapped her attention away from Stefan and over towards Maria and Alice who were both smirking at Davina as they caught her in act. Davina's cheeks shift to a light shade of pink as she released they caught her googling at Stefan and cleared her throat as she fixed her posture. "What was the question?" Maria laughed as she shook her head causing Davina's blush to shift to a darker shade of red as she looked down in embarrassment. Davina hated whenever Maria teased her and she could feel one of many of her comments and as much as she didn't want to hear it she knew she was especially by just judging the look on Maria's face she wasn't going to let this go. "I asked if you wanted to go to New York next month with us but you were too busy watching Stefan like a cat in heat to hear." Maria snickered. "I wasn't watching Stefan!" Davina lied, her voice shifting a higher octave—something that always happened when she lied. Maria's smirk grew even wider. "You weren't? But I swear I saw drool coming out of your mouth. But that didn't come from Maria. Nor Alice. The voice was a lot more deeper and it sent an unknown feeling down Davina's body something she knew that neither of her friends could do leaving only one other option. "Stefan, hey," Davina said dragging out the 'Y' as she shifted in her seat towards the devil himself. She could hear the two girls beside her laughing as she tried desperately not to die from embarrassment. "Good afternoon Princesa," Stefan grinned shooting her a wink before he looked up and smiled at his cousin and Alice. "Hello Maria and Alice, how was your little shopping date?" Maria shrugged her shoulder sipping her glass of strawberry lemonade. "It was alright, could have used you to carry our multiple bags." Stefan rolled his eyes as he wiped a towel down his face wiping the sweat away before slinging the thing over his shoulder afterwards. Davina's eyes trail down his chest taking in the six pack that made up his chest. Maria still didn't know about the s*x dream that Davina had about Stefan, mostly because Davina didn't want to Maria to think of her as some creep especially since Davina had just met the guy. Plus, it was definitely out of character for Davina to even have that sort of dream about somebody she barely knew and the fact it was one of her friends close family members is also really embarrassing for Davina and honestly she thinks it's just her pregnancy hormones that's making her feel some sort of way towards Stefan. "So Davina, did you want to come with us to New York next month or no?" Davina looks away from Stefan and over towards Alice who was thankfully too preoccupied looking through her shopping bags to notice that Davina had been looking... again. "Um, maybe. It really honestly all just depends on how I'm feeling, would we be flying or driving?" "Flying, I was thinking we could leave at noon and we'd still have time to eat and shop around before we have to check-in," Davina nodded her head. "Yeah; maybe. I'll let you guys know." "Who is all going?" Alice asked finally giving everyone her attention. She leans back in the chair she was sitting in with her hands placed on her stomach. "As of right now only me, you, Stefan and Porter." Maria said scooping her brown hair up into a ponytail, her Gucci shirt rising in the process. Davina chewed on her lips, she loved going to New York especially when they stayed at Maria's uncles hotel that he owns that had an amazing view of the city. Antonio was super sweet and always made Alice and Davina feel comfortable in the city whenever they would visit. "I'll go, but I might have to sit close to the bathroom as possible." Davina lightly chuckled with a blush. Her bladder has been horrible since she got pregnant, she constantly felt like she needed to pee or she was sometimes constipated. It was actually embarrassing how many times she found herself having to excuse herself to use the restroom when she was hanging out with her friends or when she was at work, especially if she had already gone not even an twenty minutes before! It was like her bladder had its mind of its own. The girls agreed and began discussing the trip to New York but Davina was much included in the conversation even though Alice and Maria tried desperately to get her involved, she just was in her own little world focusing on the only thing that has been on her mind since she found out she was pregnant which was her babies. It was like her pregnancy plagued her mind 24/7 and was helicoptering everything she did or wanted to do, like right now Davina didn't care where she sat on the plane or how long they were staying in New York all she cared about was if she was going to be okay if she went along with them. She didn't know much about traveling while pregnant, she's never had to do it before but she knew that they don't recommend pregnant women to get on a plane but at the same time Davina didn't know if that meant later on in her pregnancy or if it meant her whole pregnancy. She highly doubt it would be her whole pregnancy, but at the same time she wouldn't be surprised. People have so many things to say on the 'Do's-and-Don'ts' of pregnancy that she wouldn't put it pass her if there was some rule out there stating a pregnant women shouldn't be traveling by plane her whole pregnancy just like they have some rules about certain meats and drinks for them. Davina didn't want to become one of those mothers to be that was constantly making sure that they were doing word for word that the doctor or midwife instructed them to do but she also wanted to make sure that she had a healthy pregnancy and her kids were born safely— she just didn't agree with some of the things that people have said about what a pregnant woman should do during her pregnancy especially since it's her body her choice. "Davina?" Davina is pulled out of thought and placed back into reality by Alice, who was giving her a soft smile. There was no trace of Stefan and Maria, they had probably already gone back inside already leaving just Alice and Davina outside. "Sorry, I have been zoning out lately," Alice doesn't judge Davina or get upset with her, she just shrugs her shoulders giving the girl a lazy grin. "It's okay, it happened a lot to my cousin Rachel when she got pregnant at fifteen don't worry." Davina had almost forgotten about Alice's fifteen-year-old cousin who got pregnant when they were in middle school, she wondered how she was doing, that happened nearly ten years ago. "How's she doing by the way?" Davina asked deciding to not make a comment on her own comment and focus on what Alice said as she got her things. Alice grabbed some of the items that Davina had out to help her inside and didn't say anything until they started walking back to the house. "She's good, Adrian is ten now which is crazy because I remember when the dude was born, I was only twelve." She responded with a horror look on her face as she released a dramatic shiver at the trauma that flashed before her eyes. Davina laughed at the look on Alice's face fully remembering every detail Alice shared the next day after Rachel went to labor, Maria and Davina couldn't stop laughing from Alice's face and all the squirming she did when anything reminded her of the event it happened for a couple weeks afterwards and sometimes to this day Davina could still see that Alice was traumatized at what she saw. "It just means you're getting old," Davina teases which makes Alice shiver and shake her head as she holds the back door open that lead to the kitchen open. "Don't remind me, I already feel empty with high school being over." Davina laughed placing her bags on the counter and grabbing her water bottle to drink. "That was almost three years ago," "What was almost three years ago?" Davina peers over her shoulder at Stefan's voice, an instant warm feeling shooting down her body as she stares at him leaning against the doorway. He was no longer shirtless much to Davina's disappointment but he did look good nonetheless with his hair wet wearing a grey drawstring hooded tee and shorts. Davina could also smell the cologne he was wearing that she could instantly pin point was Dior. God, I'm so embarrassing. Davina thought to herself mentally she looks away before he could notice that she was checking him out and instead turned her attention to the countertop finding it more interesting at the moment. "Davina's salsa performance in front of the whole school." Davina's head quickly snaps up and her eyes immediately locked with Alice's blue green eyes. Alice had a knowing smirk on her face as she held Davina's confused gaze. Davina had no clue why the hell she would tell Stefan that she knew how to salsa dance, she barely knew how to walk on her two feet! "You know how to dance?" Stefan asked a look of admiration on his face but Davina wasn't too sure she didn't want to look into a simple face expression and question. "What? No, Alice doesn't know what she's talking about." Alice laughs throwing her head back shaking her head making Stefan and Davina to look towards her. Alice brushes off what Davina said about her and focused on Stefan who was looking at her waiting for her response to what Davina had said. "Davina does dance she's just terrible at it," Stefan laughs making Davina blush and narrow her eyes at Alice who didn't appear at all fazed by Davina's murderous glare. Davina opens her mouth to retaliate but Alice just smiles with her wicked grin and dismisses herself from the kitchen to use the 'restroom' leaving Davina and Stefan alone. It was quiet between the two for awhile. Davina went back to looking at the counter top this time her eyes zoomed in on the art that decorated the bottle of her water bottle while Stefan went on and did what he needed to do in the kitchen. Davina hated the silence especially when it was around people that she didn't really know she always felt out of place and it made her a little anxious because her mind always drifted over to the thought that the other person was judging her. "Is what Alice said true?" Stefan finally asks breaking the silence between the two. "Do you know how to dance?" Davina looks up from her water and up to Stefan who was now across from her on the other side of the kitchen island next to the fridge with his own water bottle in hand. Davina blushed but shook her head tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "God no, I can barely walk on my two feet." Stefan lightly chuckles shaking his head taking a quick swig of his water, his Adam's apple bopping from the motion. "That's a shame, I would have loved to see you move that body," he said leaning back with his hands on the counter looking around the counter and up her body. Davina ignored the feeling that her body was now feeling at his words as she blushed shaking her head clearing her throat. Stefan grins walking around the counter stopping a couple feet away from her. "Don't worry, I won't do anything you don't want me to, but I could teach you if you'd like." Davina bit her lip shaking her head. "Teach me to dance? I'll pass, I don't think me and dance classes would be a good fit." "Why not?" Stefan asked tilting his head to the side. "Because I'm pregnant," she wanted to say but didn't. She just laughed shrugging her shoulders. "I don't know, I just have that feeling I guess." "Anybody can dance." "Not me," Davina laughed. Stefan doesn't look convinced. "It's okay Princesa, we'll get you to dance soon enough." Davina opens her mouth to respond but he just sends her his charming smile one last time before leaving the kitchen smoothly. Damn, what was everybody and their deal on leaving her alone in the kitchen? Davina scowls at herself as tears instantly began forming at the corner of her eyes at what she just thought, her pregnancy hormones getting the best of her. She knew they didn't do it intentionally and that all she had to do was head up to Maria's bedroom and she'd find her and Alice there but it didn't seem to ease her emotions. Shaking her head, Davina wipes under her eyes and clears her throat deciding to just stop crying over nothing and go up to Maria's bedroom to spend the rest of her day enjoying as much as she can with her best friends before she couldn't.
