Dave Finally Making A Move!

1025 Words
The talk with Harriet had gone well and Tabitha was on her way back when she sighted some cops clothed in casual wear. She rubbed her jaw slightly with a frown. These souls never seem to learn. She stopped before a motel and got in. Outside, Gerald stopped before the motel with a frown. From his understanding of Tabitha, the woman wasn't a wild one who liked to party. Infact, she detested such places. Was this perhaps a trap? He had no time to deliberate as Isabella walked up to him with a frown. "Why are you stopping? Do you realize we can lose him!" Gerald turned to look at Isabella with displeasure. "I'm your senior, I get to make the decisions." His one liner shut her up. She had quickly forgotten that Davina had stripped her of her authority. Davina! The name made her inside recoil in hate! Gerald said again. "I think it's a trap. Let's retreat. We'd stalk her some other time." Although Isabella had some disagreements, she nodded and walked back with the others. She was being forced to eat the humble pie all because of Davina! Somewhere in the woods Davina suddenly sneezed, startling Dave who was pushing a truck in front of her. The man turned to look at her and said. "I heard if someone sneezes for no reason , someone is talking ill behind their back.." "Focus on the task at hand!" Davina shushed him with a nudge. Feeling the lady was looking down at his knowledge, he sped up too. "I'm really serious!" "Dave, your knowledge can't help our predicament. Think of something that can." The lady sighed. Dave fell back again. They soon got to a stream and some of the workers with them took off their clothes to have a bath. The males had on their briefs, while the females only had their underwear. Dave's eyes gleamed dangerously as he stared right at Davina. "We will have a bath later." Davina, who hadn't noticed the change in his eyes, nodded. "I feel disgusted having to bathe in other people's filth. But regardless, it's the only way to keep clean, at least." Seeing her so downcast, shattered the man's heart. "I'd think of a way." Davina nodded absentmindedly as her eyes caught with that of Gregor and she unconsciously shivered. "I think we should head back now." Dave nodded, pretending not to have noticed. However, when she was in front, he glanced behind him and met eyes with Gregor for a few seconds before retrieving it. Gregor on the other hand, smiled maliciously. "Stupid human." Then he turned to the man beside him. "You saw that, didn't you? A mere worker dared to stare into my eyes without reverence!" The man nodded and left immediately. While Davina and Dave were talking about something, the man's gum suddenly itched him. He glanced at the fleshy meat on the side of Davina's neck and salivated. Without warning, his elongated fangs came down on it. He had marked her like a novice that he was, drawing a sharp breath from her. He sucked on her for some seconds before retreating. Seeing the blood on her neck, he reached over to wipe it whilst saying apologetically. "I'm really sorry, Davina. I don't know what came over me." Davina nodded, her eyes widening in excitement. She was about to say something when some men barged in and dragged Dave away. Davina tried to question them, but had a sword placed on her neck. "We were instructed not to hurt anyone, don't make us go disobey a clear command!" "It's okay, Davina." Dave reassured before he was taken away. Davina stood at a spot, confused on what to do. She had totally forgotten Dave had marked her. Soon, she felt her blurred vision become clearer. People's words, heartbeat and malicious intent. This...was the power of the Golden Fur! She took off! Wherever she passed, she'd leave behind her a gust of wind. The other Werewolves had no idea what was happening as they only saw a gust of wind. In the end, they all concluded the wind was blowing unevenly today. She had rushed in just when a stroke was about to land on Dave's back and pulled him out of the men's grip. Everyone narrowed their eyes at her wondering how she came in without alerting any of them. The men were about to attack her when Gregor waved his hand. "Let her be." They glared hard at her but retreated nonetheless. Gregor turned to Davina. "Do you have any idea what you did today can cost you your life?" Davina paid no attention to him as she stared with shimmering eyes at Dave. The man was startled. He didn't remember doing anything to make her so happy. "Hey! What's with that look? It's extremely creepy!" "Keep shut! We're finally leaving here!" Davina smirked. "Hahahaha!" Gregor laughed. Afterwards, he snorted. "Have I been too lenient on you that you've quickly forgotten the tales about me?!" Davina glanced coldly at him. "Gregor, we're leaving here and that's final!" Gregor laughed out again. "Should I remind you, you and your partner are fugitives. Even if you escape from me, you'd need to stay in the woods as the humans would get their hands on you!" Davina smirked in response. "Now that's where you're wrong. Whatever happens to us is our business by the way. See you never!" Right before their eyes, she seemed to have disappeared, but in truth she had used illusion to leave the place. When Gregor realized, he ordered for them to be brought back to him at all cost. A man who seemed to be his advisor, turned to look at Gregor with fear in his eyes. "Elder, I'm afraid we've provoked the wrong specie!" "What do you mean by that?" Gregor asked, pissed. He couldn't believe the man was also looking down on him because of such a little thing. "My father once served under a member of the Golden Fur. I myself have seen one and the technique she used right now is one of them."
