Tabitha walked through the mall with the disguised Davina. As she walked, she was keenly aware of the men following and listening to their conversations.
"I saw in your résumé you speak Portuguese too." Tabitha said, flashing a smile at Davina.
Davina who was thinking of how to start a conversation with her was a little taken aback gasped in surprise.
"Ma'am?" She called, acting nervous. "Yes, I stayed with my mom for six years there."
The lie flew out of her mouth before she knew it. Tabitha smiled slyly. Oh, girl, you're such a terrible liar!
"Oh, that's good. Let's see how good you are?" She teased and Davina who was pretending to be shy, lowered her head and nodded.
"Do you see them?" Tabitha asked in Portuguese. The latter nodded her head.
"Yes, I wonder if a lot of people also heard Portuguese." Davina asked, hinting something to the letter.
"I have my people around here and I was told they're only two Werewolves present. They're also fluent English speakers and know nothing about Spanish or Portuguese." Tabitha reassured, feeling one of the Werewolf's eyes on her.
"What about that snitch, starts with an I and ends with an A?"
"She had to do something with the person in charge of the case. That mysterious young man. I've asked my men to keep tabs on them."
"Can you save me the stress of running about and just kill them?" Davina huffed, lowering her head not to make it obvious.
"As I said earlier, I won't. The game's too interesting. Besides, it's a pleasure to see handsome lads from the station."
"You're practically impossible!" Davina scoffed. "So what do we do now? No one in my area seemed to have seen me!"
"It's not surprising. Teenagers were at school that time of the day and parents were also at work. Just a few people were at home and I doubt any would've been outside despite the hot sun. Unless they had something to do." The woman elaborated.
"So you knew this would be fruitless! Hold on a minute..." Davina muttered, her mind flashing back to that day. "...I think I know where we can get help!"
Davina subconsciously reached out to grab her hand but had her hand knocked out by Tabitha who showed an angry expression. "Can you be more reserved! I do not blame you! If I hadn't reduced my standards to talk to a person like you none of this would've happened!"
Seeing the hint in Tabitha's eyes, Davina could only lower her head and say ingratiatingly. "I'm sorry, ma'am."
"Good! Go pay for the things we bought, I have something else to take care of." Tabitha said and whipped out a black card from her pocket.
The Werewolves around who had noticed how the duo's interaction was, had grown a little suspicious but that suspicion disappeared after Tabitha hit Davina's hand.
With a shrug, they kept following the two. The other human officers also did the same.
"Check my phone, where did my friend say she was?" Tabitha asked with a sigh.
At the moment, she was really considering Davina's words of getting rid of the cops on her tail. It was really stressful to talk with codes.
"Dark Charm Club!"
The car started and shot out through the open gate. The officers also assembled into their different means of transportation and followed after them.
Taking the opportunity, Tabitha asked. "Why are we headed towards a club?"
"That's where the person often goes." Davina replied.
"This person, is he a male or a female?"
"Female."
Her reply was followed by a breath of relief by Tabitha. She had earlier made mention of the female gender. If the person had turned out to be a male, the police would have something to mull over.
A quarter to an hour later, the car stopped before the buzzing club which had exotic cars lined outside from beginning to end.
"Is this person extremely wealthy? Why haven't you mentioned her to me before?" Tabitha asked with a frown.
"She's a bisexual who once tried to make out with me but got rejected. She has a habit of keeping a camera in my sitting room for God-knows-what. So I'm hoping she has what will redeem me." Davina said.
"Girl, I never asked you to give me her biography."
"Fine, I didn't tell you about her because she was a bisexual who had kissed me once. I felt embarrassed and decided not to tell you about it as I felt you would taunt me with it." She pretended to be hurt thinking the woman would take pity on her, unexpectedly, a shrill laugh escaped her throat.
Tabitha directly reached out and pinched her cheeks affectionately. "You need to see how cute you are! It's a pity I can't take a shot of you. About the kissing part, I'd taunt you later, for now, lead the way because the cops are almost catching up with us."
She nodded and got out of the car. But then she had forgotten something. She turned abruptly and bumped into Tabitha who stood in place.
She glanced at Davina in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"Dark Charm Club only allows authorized people to go in. I had totally forgotten about it!"
"Dark Charm?" Tabitha repeated, taking out her phone. "Be here before five minutes with Dark Charm's entry card."
Although Davina wanted to comment something about her being rude, she bit down on her tongue as she saw some motorcycles pull over a little farther from them.
Three minutes later, a sweating figure jumped out of a race car and sped towards them. He stopped before Tabitha and took out a black card from his pocket. "I'm sorry for being late, ma'am."
Tabitha took the card without acknowledging him and walked towards the doorman. After showing him her card, she was let in.
Infact, someone was sent to accompany her around the club due to the level of her card.
"Ma'am, if I may ask, who is it you're looking for?" The worker following her around asked meekly.
Tabitha glanced at Davina who also turned around at that moment. "Francisca Arnaldo."
