She didn't move. That hurt me. In a little while, she turned around and looked at me. "I love you Kaiden. Please don't talk now. Just come with me. I want to be with you. Take Eclipse. I'll follow you with Ivy." I nodded. I went out and sat on Eclipse. I watched her slowly walking out with Ivy. She sat on her back, and we just let them walk with us sitting on them next to each other. We rode to the secret place. When we left the horses, she walked close to me without saying a word. She was sad, and so was I. I couldn't take it any longer and I pulled her into my embrace. To be honest, her expression made me frightened. "Serena, I love you. You mean the whole world to me. I want to stay with you. I'll come, I promise, every single time, even if I can spend a day with you, I'll be here. And it's only two years. As soon as I turn 18 I'll be back. I love you." She nodded, but I could feel she didn't believe me. "Please, Serena, tell me something." I held her tight. She held me tight. "I wish you good luck." She said that in a crying tone. "What?" "You will forget me. You will forget everything here." "I won't." "You will." "What are you talking about?" "You are going to forget me, you are going to forget this place. What's the point?" "You're joking, Serena." "No. I don't." "We can do it. We won't be together every day, but I can call you and I can come any time when I'm free." "No Kaiden, I'm afraid that won't work." "Serena, don't do this to me. You mean everything to me." "I know, and I'll love you forever, only you, but it won't work. You will get to know someone else and I won't be able to take it. I don't want to know about that." I kept her cheeks in my palms, and watched her teary eyes. She was crying a lot. It was written on her face. But I didn't understand why she didn't want to fight for us. "I'll write to you, I'll call you and I'll come back as often as I can. I don't need anyone else." She shook her head. "I want to break up." "What?" "I'm young, and I cannot waste my time with someone who's not even close." "Serena… are you serious?" "I am." I stepped closer to her and looked at her teary eyes. She didn't look at me. There was one thing that she completely forgot. I knew her well, from one little movement I could tell every single thought that she'd got in her mind. I held her hand. "Serena, look at me." She just started to cry, I pulled her into my embrace and kept her strong in my arms. "We will get through this." "You will forget me." She was shaking from crying. "I'll never forget you. We are going to get through this." After a while, she calmed down a bit. She kept her head on my chest. "You will have new friends. You will live in Manhattan. That is very different from this place. You won't miss this. Your dad will probably send you to the best university and you're going to like business life much more than this one. You won't get dirty, you can have the best clothes and you'll have a luxurious life. Not like here." I laughed. "Babe, I belong here, I belong with you. This place is my word, you are my word. And Eclipse, and Ivy." She laughed a bit through her tears. Serena - He is going to forget me I wanted to believe him, but I couldn't. New York was really far from here, and even if he was going to fly back and forth between the two places, I didn't think it would work. He'd be tired of that, and I was sure he'd get to that point that he'd prefer to stay with his new friends, than come back to see me. I really wanted to believe we would get through this in less than two years, but I couldn't. He'd have many more possibilities than here. What could he do here? He could be a farmer. And that's it. But there he can be an advocate, a famous person, a doctor or anything that he wants to be. He'll never have to get dirty in a stable, get the smells of animals and a lot more. He can be elegant, in a luxurious house or apartment, using expensive and attractive cars. He will have new friends, and there will be something more that tears my heart apart. He is rich and handsome, there will be a lot of attractive girls who'll do everything to get close to him, and will he refuse them? Will he stay loyal to me? He is too young to stick to a farm girl who is not even close. He pulled me close and kissed me passionately. Slowly our clothes fell on the ground and we made love. We hugged each other like we never wanted to let each other go. "Can I come to you tonight?" He asked me. I nodded. He didn't want to let me go, so I thought I was going to enjoy our last day with him. It got a bit darker so we needed to go back. We took Eclipse back to their stable. "Who's going to take care of him, Kaiden?" He sighed. "I don't know. He doesn't let anyone come close. They wanted to use a whip on him. I don't know what to do. I can only ask you to do that." "I'll check on him, Kaiden, if you want me to." "Would you do that for me?" "Of course." I smiled sadly. I was the second person who was near Eclipse a lot. I only hoped that he would let me take care of him. Then we walked back to ours. My father was surprised to see him, and frightened when he saw me. "What happened to you?" "Nothing dad, I'm just sad, that's all." He looked at Kaiden. "Did you two argue?" "No dad." I said, but Kaiden turned to him. "My father decided to move back to New York because of his businesses. We are leaving on Monday."
