The night Vance and Paula arrived was a whirlwind of emotions.
That was probably the first time I had to tame a werewolf and remove it from a castle.
I explained everything to Vance and Paula, which led to Paula shifting as she was trying to control her wolf.
Her wolf wanted my head for putting her friend in a dangerous situation, and I didn’t blame them. I was blaming everything that happened on me too.
I should have never hooked up with Riley, not when she was meant to be with Ward. We know that she wasn’t his mate, but we both started to realize the true nature and what she was like after everything with Paula had settled down.
Vance calmed her down and made her rest in one of the bedrooms while we talked.
Ward and I explained every detail to him again. Vance took it all in,
