After another long day of traveling on foot, we were forced to stop before making it to the city that Jax talked so highly of. I had no clue if it was going to be as great as he made it out to be, but I trusted his word on it.
Jax made sure to get us another large deer for dinner that night, then we spent some time hanging out with our son. We were still getting to know each other, but he seemed happy to be going on an impromptu adventure with us. I just hoped the rest of the trip was as uneventful as the past day.
Once our son was peacefully sleeping, Jax and I laid down together. I wasn’t planning to mate or anything, but it was hard to avoid once I found myself being held in his strong arms.
