On reaching the first landing Grendale could hear some noise coming from somewhere. It sounded like deep breaths of a huge animal but it was coming softly as if from an underground mine. Grendale followed the sound cautiously and came to a large room.
Books were scattered everywhere like hit by a tornado. And there was HUGE gaping hole in one of the walls. The sound had gotten stronger inside the what was formerly a library. Keeping high alert for any sort of moment Grendale peeped into the hole.
The hole was dark and ran long underground like a tunnel. Watching his step as to not alert his presence to whatever being was down there he stepped into the tunnel. CRAP!! Grendale slipped on what was a gooey saliva and slid down the length of the tunnel.
After what felt like sliding a hundred feet he at last landed outside an entrance to what might be called a dungeon. Gosh was it smelly. It felt like something huge had died and rottened in here. Blocking his nose firmly with a cloth he stepped into the dungeons.
After passing through a number of cells few of which contained skeletons of ancient outlaws(criminals banned from their villages and towns) he came to a huge room which looked like a lunch room for the criminals. As soon as he stepped inside his mind went blank with shock.
There standing before the pot of excalamus was a humongous animal which looked very familiar to the one horned porcupines. It seemed to be devouring what looked (ew-ly) like a dead hippo.
Suddenly it's needles in the back stood up. It turned around growling with its b****y mouth, flesh still sticking to its lips and looked at the warrior with ruby red eyes. Gulp! , " I am Soo screwed. How shall I get past it without being torn apart or punctured like bubbles?...Master give me strength" prayed Grendale internally.
The creature posed it's horned, rubbed it's feet on the ground like a bull and charged at him. Just when it was about to hit him Grendale quickly jumped and landed on the other side. The porcupine crashed into the wall and made a huge hole. Shaking off the dust from its head it turned around and charged again.
Grendale turned on his heels and ran towards the pedestal on which the pot was kept. He jumped upon it but there was nowhere else to go. He tried throwing rocks at it and even used the magic bolt but it always used it's horn to deflect it. When all seemed lost something weird happened.
The porcupine came charging but as soon as came nearer instead of jumping upon the pedestal and horn-hitting the warrior it just bumped into it.
What was happening? Why couldn't the porcupine jump on the pedestal?
