Fighting a bush beetle is as good as harvesting a lingon fruit (a magical fruit that pours an overload of juice on the harvester).
It had a very funny face for a bush beetle. It had ( as its name clearly stated ) a bush growing outta it's head and great big green eyes the size of big tomatoes. Grendale would have felt 'Aaww' at it and maybe even have cooed at it, if it weren't for the sour and ugly look it gave him. The bush beetle bared it's pointy reed-type-looking teeth and flexed it's sharp nailed root-claws.
Graaaaarrr!!!.... The beetle charged at Grendale at sprint speed and attempted to wound his feet. One thing you must always know is that, bush beetles always and always attack the feet of its preys so that they fall down in pain and it can slit their throats or even if they did manage to attempt an escape then they won't be able to go much far due to the wound and it can follow them by smelling the trail of blood and wait until they are down to kill them.
Seeing the bush beetle dodging his magic bolt attacks and make a beeline for his legs Grendale jumped within time and flew over it's head and landed on the other side whereas the bush beetle sliced through air where his feet was moments ago. It whirled around and war-cried again charging towards Grendale. This time Grendale swung his sword in time to its face and a deep gash started leaking mud water from its wound.
The creature cried in pain and seizing the moment Grendale swung his sword harder and chopped off it's bushes. Since the life of a bush beetle is in its bushes, when it was cut off it screamed and twisted around clutching it's head and finally fell face down breaking off into a small mould of mud. "Sheesh. What a nice welcome. Hope I don't get to see much of such welcomes again." prayed Grendale.
Despite all this Grendale was always a sweetheart inside. Hence he leaned down and put a nice flower on the mud mould prayed for its soul and went on his way climbing up the plains. He hadn't gone far when he came across a nice big cave on one side of the road. Grendale though looked at it but made no attempt to go close to it as he was already getting sick of caves and had enough of experiences with caves to last him an epic story to tell his kids. Another road led on through the plains to the ever night forest.
Grendale hurriedly took that road and was thinking of getting away from caves for a long time when destiny played it's nasty trick and actually made him go into it (lol). All that happened was - when Grendale was hurrying down the road a loud scream erupted from the cave. Grendale froze on spot and slowly turned towards the cave and looked uncertain whether he had actually heard a scream or his ears were playing tricks with him.
What was that scream?.. Is it an another attempt from the dark side to kill Grendale?..
