THE GOOD NEWS AND A VERY BAD NEWS

Seeing Shifu's reaction Grendale was puzzled. Then at last breaking the silence he asked, "What is the matter master? Why are you shocked on seeing this i-don't-know-what-this-is piece? Is everything okay?". Shifu was silent for a while, then finally meeting his eye what he said shocked Grendale even more.
" You have any clue what that piece is? Grendale... my boy that piece which you are holding is the part of the same thing which you came to seek here." Grendale's eyes widened but he still looked puzzled. Clearing his puzzlement Shifu finally spilled the beans , " Grendale that piece you are holding is the lower blade part of the THE SWORD OF MAZE-BLADE".
Grendale was stunned still on this piece of striking news. He couldn't believe his ears that the great sword of maze-blade was broken to pieces. Slowly he turned towards his master and in a depressed voice asked a final question - " Is all hope lost?". Thankfully and surprisingly Shifu shook his head. " No Grendale. All hope is not lost. It just got a whole lot difficult."
" It is true that we were too late to reach the sword before the corruptors. Looks like they found it and broke it into pieces so that it can never be used against them, but one thing they forgot is that the sword of maze-blade can never be destroyed. Broken yes but never destroyed."
Seeing a tiny ray of hope in his Grendale's eyes Shifu smiled slightly and added, " You must continue on with your journey to the city of florenum. Go and see what happened to the city, to the descendant. And if he's alive then tell him about this. He may know what to do about it. Now make haste. With the sword broken and scattered we are even behind in stopping the king of chaos".
Grendale stood on one knee and bowed to Shifu. When Shifu once again disappeared into a ball of gas Grendale had a new goal added to his list.
'Find the descendant (if he's still alive), repair the sword and put an end to this cancerous evil'.
When he came to the cave's exit there was a portal waiting for him. He cautiously entered the portal and swished back to the mayor's office where both the mayor and the healer girl were waiting for him. As soon as he stepped out of the portal both of them approached him eagerly and asked him how the journey went. When Grendale finished with the story the healer girl had both her hands on her mouth due to shock and the mayor's eyes were wide and horror struck.
" Oh god. What now?" was the very first reaction of them both. The journey ahead to the city of florenum was quite difficult. Now with an added bonus he also had to search for the missing pieces of the shattered blade.
Staying a day at the village as soon as dawn broke Grendale packed his bags and set off to the yellow plains beyond which was the ever night forest.
The ever night forest. Home to many many more dangerous and horrible monsters than evergreen forest. Will Grendale be able to face it all?
