THE SEARCH FOR AN EXIT

505 Words
It took a few minutes for all three to digest everything. Since Grendale never had any family except for Shifu , ( excluding the feeling he had towards Inamorta as a family which is completely different) he never knew what losing a family was. Hence he was the first to get over his emotions and stood up with shining determination in his eyes. He turned to the others and made a little inspiring speech ( please don't bother asking , it ain't that important ) which caused the prince and the golem to heave their chests with determination. All three joined hands and made an alliance to help each other in taking back what was their's. Now the big question was ' how to get out of this cave?'.  Grendale turned to the golem and asked, " Goltimer. You were here for 13 years, didn't you ever try to look for a way out?". " Umm.. actually i did and it was painful ", Goltimer replied shyly. " I tried many times, but i couldn't  find any exit. I even tried to climb up the same way i came here, but the ledges were too slippery and i fell back every time." The prince was imagining all the attempts the golem must have made and was trying his hardest not to laugh out loud. " But there must be some way." Grendale thought aloud. " There's got to be one. Lets split up and search. The exit must definitely be somewhere so obvious that no one had thought could be." All three split up and started combing all the corners of the cave for any sort of clue that could lead them to an exit. For hours they searched fruitlessly but couldn't uncover anything except for a few startled mice homes. Finally tried of all the searching and poking all three made their way to sit down at the edge of a platform.  Koda turning to the golem posed a question, " Goltimer. I am absolutely curious to know. Before i came 'ere how were you able to spend time alone? I mean, this place is absolutely hideous. I simply can't imagine how you were able to survive here. Do tell how were you living here?". The golem shrugged and answered casually, " Its true that i didn't have much to do here, but still i did have some company to remove my loneliness." "You mean th' rats", joked the prince. " No. I meant about that statue over there" it pointed out. Turning around they could see a 15 foot sized statue of what looked like a reaper with angle wings sticking to the wall hidden from view by a few crossly fallen pillars. " What..but..but how did we miss that?. We searched the whole cave didn't we? Then how did that escape our eyes." wondered Grendale. Getting up they went towards the fallen pillars for a closer look. What is the mystery of this statue?  Find out in the next episode. Stay tuned.
