The following morning we met with my family at my parents’ house. My brother, Sammy, and my parents’ parents were all there to help us celebrate the holiday. It was an all day event with my mom making breakfast for everyone and then us having lunch and dinner together too. It was a magical time that I didn’t think I needed or that I thought I was ready for.
After a few hours of just Christmas, Sammy pulled me upstairs into my old bedroom for us to work on some more details for her wedding with Josh. “Can you believe it,” she started. “In four more months, we will officially be sisters!”
