“Ok, hold on, let me see if I understand you,” Cal said as he poured Ronnie a glass of red wine. We were celebrating. Or something, I wasn’t sure. “Josiah isn’t going to be the Principal, you are?”
“Is that so surprising?” Ronnie asked as she accepted the glass of wine from Cal.
“Not at all, I’m quite proud of you, actually. I simply meant because Grayson and Josiah have a bit of a history,”
“Maybe it is because he has that baby now,” I suggested. Ronnie threw me a dirty look, but I shrugged. “I’m not saying you aren’t the perfect person for the job, babe,”
“Whatever, I am Head Mistress. Amani will be working as a part-time helper…she isn’t much of a witch and her experience is not enough for her to be a teacher, but it’s a way for her and Josiah to be close to Dolly…”
