“Is everything ready?” Conrad asked and I smiled.
“Yes, everything is ready,” I said as I looked around the cabin. Conrad was running late and that had meant it was up to me to make sure that everything was ready for the weekend. The fridge had been stocked with enough food to feed an army. The smaller display fridge was stocked with beer. All of the fishing gear was ready, and it sat by the door. This cabin was much larger than the one I had stayed in. This one had two bedrooms, which meant Conrad and I would share a room – which was never a problem, especially not now. A fully equipped kitchen. A bathroom and a cozy little living room and dining area. The deck was also bigger, which was nice for the three of us.
“Ok, I promise I’ll try and leave as soon as I can,” Conrad said
