"What in the world is that?" I exclaimed, staring up at the dragon that loomed above us. "This can't be real. Dragons don't exist," Mara protested, disbelief written all over her face. "Clearly, they do," I countered. The dragon was merely watching us, its expression almost puzzled, and it didn’t seem hostile. It appeared to be sizing us up as much as we were trying to make sense of it. "Don't shift," Mara warned. "I wasn't planning to. Why didn't anyone mention that dragons were around? That's definitely something I should have been told," I replied, exasperated. "You're right," she agreed, her eyes glued to the enormous creature as it carefully descended from the trees and approached us.
