Annabel's POV That night, I opened our group project doc like I was checking the weather in a city I didn’t live in anymore. Curiosity, mostly. Maybe some muscle memory. I hadn’t meant to work on it, not really, but there it was, my name, Caleb’s, and then Justin’s. The cursor blinked next to his name. He was typing. I froze. I just watched the little grey bubble of motion as his words appeared; they were about refining the intro. And then, like he knew I was there, he stopped.
