Cold water hit her in the face. Mikaela coughed as more was splashed on her. Were they trying to drown her? She asked herself as she turned over so that no more water would hit her face. She gasped for breath, blinking slowly. “This is physical class. Not magic class. Do you hear me?” the coach shouted down at her. He shoved her to her back again with his foot so that she was facing him. “Try that s**t again in my class and you will know what I am made of.” Mikaela blinked up at him not sure what happened. She didn’t understand. She didn’t remember doing any magic. She couldn’t do magic. Not yet anyway. He dragged her up by the neck of her shirt.
