The night after the staff meeting, I lay in my bed with my eyes open, staring at the ceiling, replaying the moment in the library over and over. The absolute audacity of that man! I could not still believe it.
I was furious and terrified but I would never admit it to anyone that I was secretly glad that he was here.
Mate, Zorya whispered, and I nearly fell out of bed. She had been silent for months and I had thought she was gone but she was here.
