I walked into Sal's Edge Elementary the following morning with sweaty hands and a whistle around my neck.
The colored walls were still the same, but this time, there was a bulletin board that said WELCOME BACK! in glittery letters and a few children ran along the corridors, stopping once they saw the new face.
